What's also loud and clear is that oil relations supersede any human rights concerns when it comes to Saudi Arabia. It isn't surprising that Bush wouldn't discuss this rape-case with King Abdullah, nor any other concerns about the ruthless oppression of Saudis, yet is quick to launch a 'freedom crusade' against states deviant to economic submission to American hegemony and supporting of their own self-determination as nations.

But didn't the woman break the law by riding with the men in the first place. I'm not excusing the rape by any means, but if she had not been breaking their law, it would never have happened.

It would also seem that the rapist also received stiffer sentences, 9 years increased from 2. Hell, it would seem that Saudi Arabia punishes rapist more severely than we do!!!!

This is Islamic law, remember, the Religion of Peace. While the NOW was busy picketting the Augusta National Club, this has been going on in how many other countries. At least NOW has there priorities straight, God Forbid a private club not have any women members. What an outrage.
