Good news. As in my opinion, McCain is unelectable in the general election; even against Hillary (and that's saying something).

Why do you think McCain is unelectable?

Too old?

Perhaps. But mostly because he is Bush 2.0

I think the only chance the Republicans have is if Romney is on the ballet. He would destroy Hillary or Obama in a debate!

I'm not sure about that, as lately the Republicans have earned a reputation for doing terribly in debates; though usually that really doesn't effect the outcomes of elections. Bush is one of the worst debaters (or public speakers for that matter) in American politics, but that didn't seem to change a thing for Republicans.

I must say though, that McCain is also a terrible debater in comparison to Romney.

Though, to refer to your first comment; I actually think McCain polls better against Clinton and Obama than Romney. Though, while McCain polls the best against the Democrats, the Democrats in those polls still win. The Republicans will have a tough general election it seems. In my opinion, I don't think it's really that people are fed up with the Republicans or anything, it is just the Republican candidates are terrible across the board in terms of electability.

I think Romney is a very smart guy and well qualified to be President, but he lacks that "likeability" factor. He's a bit of a tailor's dummy.

And conservative republicans will never vote for a Mormon, right or not.
