Question CIA admits waterboarding Al-Qaeda suspects
CIA Admits Waterboarding 3 Suspects - AOL News

Why is congress investigating this method of torture? If we want to make the US more safer from terrorists like from Al-Qaeda, what other methods can be used to extract information that would be helpful in fighting terrorism?

How about we don't torture! It is an ineffective method of extracting information. And it puts us on the same level as the enemy. Lose/lose situation.

Ah, but waterboarding has not been defined as torture.
It's an "advanced interrogation technique."

Bush has made it clear, America does not torture.
Therefore, anything we do to our detainees, no matter how cruel, is automatically NOT torture.
See the logic there?
