She also has this weird birth defect where she doesn't have an anus. Maybe they are related issues.

Elitist? Coming from Clinton?? Obama isn't exactly an "average American" but he certainly isn't a multimillionaire either. Before his relatively newfound fame, his household's total combined income was $240,505 (most of which coming from his wife); seven years later after a series of best-selling books and increased pay as a US Senator it's up to just over a million. Compare that with Hillary Clinton's $100+ million dollar claim on her tax returns for 2007.

People need to realize that since the day we started forming Assemblies in the colonies to today, the 'elite' have been in charge; and it's likely to stay that way for a while. Granted, Obama might not be the equivalent of my neighbor, but given the circumstances and the other choices; someone like him is probably as good as we're going to get in terms of being in touch with the average American.

Do I detect a slightly sour response to the Clinton's new found wealth?

Lest we forget Bill Clinton was raised by a single mother (after his father died before he was born) in a modest home in Hope, Arkansas.

Hardly an elitist upbringing.

And even Clinton's fiercest critics (yourself included) would have to concede that a man of his phenomenal talent and energy could have made his millions decades ago had he not chosen to go into public life.

I'm not sure if such records are kept but I would bet Clinton was one of the least wealthy US Presidents both when he entered and when he left the White House.

In any case I think elitism is more a state of mind than a statement of net worth.

I think attempting to paint the Clintons, no matter how you try to do it, as non-elite is an exercise in futility.

Hillary Clinton (we're still talking about her correct?) grew up in a comparatively privileged household with a father who owned a successful textile business. She grew up as a staunch Republican, and lest we forget, went to expensive private and Ivy League colleges. Hardly a modest upbringing as you attempt to falsely confuse with Bill.

Even though I'd say both elements are rather necessary, I somewhat agree, and I don't see how this former member of the Wal-Mart corporate board of directors, Hillary Clinton, expresses a connection and empathy to the lives of everyday Americans. She belongs to the centrist, rich, elite; and always will.

I was merely following on from your rather deceptive statement about "Hillary Clinton's $100+ million dollar claim on her tax returns for 2007".

Infact the Clintons, (Bill and Hillary combined), claimed $100+ million dollars in TOTAL for the 7 years ending 2007, and the vast majority of that money was made by Bill Clinton, the son of a single mother raised in Hope, AK.

Hopefully you will join that club in later life and not feel so envious of these two prime examples of the American Dream.
