I do not believe being 'gay' and being 'black' are synomynous with one another. Being black is a genetic trait and something you are born into being. Being gay is a mental condition.

Being gay is not a "mental condition". It's an inherent attribute.

The fact that sexual orientation DOES HAVE a genetic attribute has been proven. Again and again.

You are making faulty comparisons here founditt. There are just as many experts that state being 'gay' has nothing to do with genetics at all. I have also read personal blogs of 'gay' people who state that feelings for the same sex and being 'gay' did not begin until later adolescence and adulthood.

The time-line of sexual attraction doesn't mean it isn't genetic.
Heterosexual men often find girls "icky" one day, and then attractive and something to be infatuated by the next.

Does that mean that heterosexuality is ALSO not genetic?

Yes, I know what an analogy is. And your 'analogy' stinks. Comparing your mental defect with that of a black persons color of skin is shameful. Comparing the civil rights movement to the gay rights movement is also shameful.

I think Pat Robertson, ONE INDIVIDUAL, is a nutjob. Does that make me bigotted because I have judged ONE PERSON based on the lack of sanity of that person's actions???

You, on the other hand, are judging an ENTIRE GROUP of people based on ONE ATTRIBUTE.

What that says about me means nothing. It is your opinion only. I am not going to feel guilty because I will not vote for homos any more than you will not feel guilty for not voting for fundamentalist Christians. Pat Robertson is only one example. You and I know you would not vote for any fundamentalist Christian. That is an entire group. You're not different than anyone else and if I am a bigot then you are also a bigot.

Pat Robertson is the WORST example. Seriously. The vast majority of Christians, fundamentalist or otherwise, are nothing like Robertson.

I find it rather insulting that you try to lump Robertson in with the rest. It would be like trying to compare the Khristianity of the KKK to the Christianity of the rest of the population.
