| Well DUH!!! Most do not want a FEDERAL AMENDMENT against gay marriage, yet republicans keep pushing it through to cater to their religious right fans. Terry Schiavo. A majority WANTED the capability to pull the tube, but Congress attempted a PRE-MEDITATED illegal maneuver. (Something they acknowledged as they were doing it was ILLEGAL) Iraq war. Nobody gives a rat's ass about the public's view on that. On both sides, you have the "stay the course" and the "pull them out now" which are GROSSLY out of touch with the main-stream opinion, which is in the middle. "(Gay marriage) is a debate about whether you think gay people are part of the human condition or just a random fetish." -- Jon Stewart "Please don't judge others by your own standards." -- Garysher | |||||||||||||||||||||

| Congress may be out of touch but it's only because the constituents allow it.. the constituency needs to be active as well and keep their representatives in government constantly informed of the issues that concern them. | |||||||||||||||||||||
