Lawmaker won't apologize for 'Islamophobic' letter
CNN.com has just posted the following:

A Virginia congressman will not apologize for writing that without immigration reform "there will be many more Muslims elected to office demanding the use of the Quran," his spokesman said.

I wouldn't apologize either. Good for him. They better learn this country has free speech and if they don't like it, they can take their muslims asses to a country that prohibits free speech. There are more than enough. I would have worded it a bit differently though. I would have told CAIR to kiss my ass.

This is an example of anti-Islamic hysteria.

Plain and simple.

He is taking the oath on the Koran because it MAKES SENSE for him to do so based on the PURPOSE of the item involved in the oath.

Requiring him to take it on the Bible instead would be an example of CHRISTIAN DHIMITUDE!

My point is not what book the muslim idiot is taking his oath on. My point is CAIR demanding an apology from Virgil Goode and calling him an "islamophobe". Virgil Goode can speak his mind and is free to do so without apologizing to CAIR. The dhimitude is from CAIR by demanding Virgil Goode apologize. Dhimitude is submission to Islam. By demanding an apology, they are instituting dhimitude. You're confused as usual.

Obviously, the right to freedom of speech is only extended to SOME people.

There is no freedom of speech in Islam which is typical of religious cults.

Man. You really can't see the forest for the trees.

1) It's the CAIR's right to freedom of speech to demand an apology just like it is Goode's right to free speech to say the blatantly prejudiced thing that he did.

2) Demanding an apology is "dhimitude"?
First of all, you STILL haven't figured out what the word really means, which would demonstrate it's non-application here.
Second of all, HOW MANY TIMES do people ask for apologies for different stuff? Is ALL of that just a demand for submission?
Your pretense that asking, or demanding, an apology is "dhimitude" is REALLY reaching...

We are not a culture dominated by Islam.
You have no clue what the word really means.

If this involved a Christian instead of a Muslim, CNN wouldn't have given it the time of day - and very few other people would have.

The is BS propoganda, but most people are too stupid to realize it.

If this involved a Christian instead of a Muslim (in the U.S.), CNN wouldn't give it the time of day because everybody would think the guy a nut.
And if the guy originally saying it WAS in the congress, I doubt he would be for next term.

Do you realize that there are NO atheists in the Congress. I don't think there have ever been. Almost exclusively Christian, and this has been the FIRST Muslim to be elected.

This isn't a complaint, but rather a demonstration that the Christian preference is very strong in this nation.

If this story had occurred in a Muslim nation with the situations reversed, I'm betting dollars to doughnuts it would get covered.
And furthermore, the comments of the Congressman were BLATANTLY prejudiced.

Actually, if there were a Muslim country, there would be no Christians elected for two reasons:
1. Muslim democracies don't exist.
2. All the Christians would already have been killed.
