I'm not HOPING for anything one way or the other.

But the wheels are falling off this StupidWagon. Judith Miller is proving herself to be a lying dolt, who can't keep her stories straight. Valerie Plame was NOT an undercover operative, so her identity was NOT protected by criminal law.

Fitzgerald is on a Crusade - and he's going to dethrone himself. Give a fool enough rope...

All I can say is it is nice to hear the republican whine again.

This isn't a Republican whine, no matter how many times you keep repeating that.

This whole goose-chase is nothing more than payback for Ken Starr - and both were a complete waste of time and tax-payer money.

The Ken Starr thing was about a fricken' BJ.
This is a matter of national security. Another nice comparison Jefferson.

This is NOT a matter of national security, for crying out loud. Talk about whining!

Valerie Plame was a CIA Desk-Grunt. Whoever identified her (can we say "Loudmouth Armitage"?) did nothing illegal.

But within the C.I.A., the exposure of Ms. Plame is now considered an even greater instance of treachery. Ms. Plame, a specialist in non-conventional weapons who worked overseas, had "nonofficial cover", and was what in C.I.A. parlance is called a NOC, the most difficult kind of false identity for the agency to create. While most undercover agency officers disguise their real profession by pretending to be American embassy diplomats or other United States government employees, Ms. Plame passed herself off as a private energy expert. Intelligence experts said that NOCs have especially dangerous jobs.

So much for the "desk job" idea.

She hadn't been overseas, in relation to her job, for 6 years.

So much for a supposed crime...

Besides, we already know who was the source of the leak.

You know what, had Wilson not lied in the first place, this would have been an issue. It is that simple. It was his wife that sent him, but Wilson wanting to seem more legitimate lied saying he was sent by the Vice President. Then had Wilson not claimed for the 13 words to be false in the state of the union address, when the information he received in Niger confirmed the report there would never have been a problem. WHo outted Valerie Plame, her husband.

What Wilson claimed about the yellow cake was true. He didn't agree with it being in the state of the union address in which the president used it as ammunition to go to war. He publicly expresses this and the cry baby administration outs his wife.

Many people have expressed their outrage with this unnecessary war. The administration has chosen to turn a blind eye to it all and they are now receiving the backlash for it.

Do you guys really expect anything less when we have a 2 party system???

Yes what Wilson claimed about the uranium was true, there was no sale, yet this means that what the President said in the State of the Union is also true, that Iraq attempted to secure uranium from Niger. Again, Wilson caused his own wife to be outted. It is that plain and simple, for if he had not claimed to hae been sent by officials at the CIA on behest of the Vice President, then reporters would never have needed to dig around for the information.
