They had the contracts for Desert Storm. They were ready by January 2002 to enter another bid. They wern't asked at all.
Please do as you said and 'provide some proof to back up these fanciful claims.' It is just 'Dumb' to comment on something you haven't yet researched.

Why not comment on my original post instead of trying to slip your comment in here?

Tyreay, I tried to find info on Cracker Barrel having the contracts in Desert Storm and didn't find anything.

Do you have a link to a source on this or is it just personal knowledge because your wife (is that right?) works for them?

That is correct, my wife(teethandclaws). She no longer works for them but did at the time.
I happened to know about this first hand. My point is the one who knows nothing about this at all is Jeff. If he is going to comment he should have something to back his statement, other than an opinionated claim, that my post was just dumb.

Sodexho was the name of the company with the actual contract. It is a affiliate of Cracker Barrel.

Haliburton is an oil company, they had zero experience with food. This is the bottom line.

I found all of this info on ten different sites.
670,000 hits on google for: Cheney Halliburton stocks
Take your pick.

Seem the looney neo backers always overlook the facts(and in this case, that have been posted here before).

Obviously, none of those ten sites understands "deferred compensation" arrangements. It's money he already earned before he left. We used to write deferred compensation plans on our clients..... The Looney Left doesn't understand the concept...that's why folks like my husband earned somewhat high incomes. They have to totally educate folks like you.

And gains stocks from it and profits from it to date...if you don't think he'll slip back into CEO, then you are really deep down in that dark crevice of your body. Of course he still runs it..why do you think he got a no-bid contract from Bush?

As to Byrd, he's recanted. Show me one person who wasn't a KKK member in the south during his time. That was a long time ago...but just like everything else with your conservative ideology, you can't change. And that includes knowing the robber barons of the south were the republicans...and they currently are when it comes to raping and pillaging our entire nations.

I suppose you think Democrats freed the slaves? I suppose you think Lincoln was a democrat? FYI, I'm not a republican. I've changed lots over my lifetime, but I've not changed as much as the democrats have. Oh, and FYI, the Clinton Administration gave Haliburton lots of contracts. Because they were willing to do the work.

"The Bush administration has had a reputation for completely destroying things by privatizing everything, including war."

Amazing ain't it that Cheney has gone through life arguing for privitazing yet his money comes from the tax payers nickle.
