I wonder when that will be?

I read three books so far about Kennedy: One by James Bishop, on the 24 hours of the day it happened; one by Theodore Sorensen (who was special counsel to Kennedy), about the life of Kennedy, and by the Warren Commission, which conclude that Oswald acted alone.

In Bishop's book, Oswald, when he worked at the school book depository in Dallas, always had to be driven to work because he didn't have a car.

Oswald knew Kennedy would be in Dallas, and that the parade route would go past the Texas School Book Depository. He carried a large bag with him.

So when asked by his driver what was in the bag he was carrying, Oswald said it contained curtain rods, which was really the rifle he used to shoot Kennedy.

After the shooting, Jack Ruby, whose real name was Jacob Rubenstein, felt so bad for the family, especially the children of JFK. He took it upon himself to shoot Oswald two days later, when Oswald and the lawmen emerged from the tunnel of the jailhouse.

Ruby knew some of the policemen, and he often brought donuts to them. So in a way, he had carte blanche with them, which allowed him to get up close to Oswald and pull the trigger.

Here's the shocker, one which I still don't believe. In school, my special education teacher, and this was in 1968 or 1969, believed that it was Ruby that shot JFK. Of course, I am sure that it didn't happen that way.

What I remember on the day it happened, was when I walked into speech therapist's room right after the assasination. I was in the third grade then, all special ed.

My speech teacher told me something about JFK, like he told me something that occured at 12:00 PM.

I didn't take it in until I got home from school later that afternoon, when the TV was on. There was a big plane, and a big long car pulling up to it. That was the plane that had JFK's body in it, and that was the hearse that pulled up. It was eerie.

That night, I cried. My younger sister and I pored over photos of JFK in the next three days about his life.

I remember the commotion on TV the time that Ruby shot Oswald, and of the funeral procession the next day, led by horses, and Marines in full dress uniform. Boy, it had a chilling effect on me.

So I look forward to visiting the JFK presidential library, not only to learn more about him, but to pay my respects for him. Leaving behind a beautiful wife and two beautiful children. So sad.

Whatever happens when the files are released, I hope all the conspiracies can be put to bed.

I have to agree with you there. It would be impossible for so many people involved in a cover-up to keep their mouths shut about it. Also, where are the planes and the passengers?

Someone could have dropped a ball from the top of the towers just before they fell and they would have been on the ground within less than a second of the ball hitting (about .5 seconds). 90 stories, unaffected by fire, would have slowed the process down much more.

The real conspiracy is people believing that two planes could weaken a building to fall, demolitions style, into its own footprint after being struck by a boeing jet.

And what exactly is our billions of military tax money paying for when there is 30 minutes inbetween plane hits and our air force is where??? A plane hits a skyscraper in NYC and they let another plane fly over several states and hit the next tower?????????????????

See, what conspiracy theorists fail to take into consideration is how different the architecture of the WTC were from conventional steel skeleton construction.

What you had was basically a steel tube, held together by floor trusses. There was no internal steel structure.

Now, you take out several areas of steel tubing from the outer shell, throw in a fire burning at temps more then enough to cause steel to bend. The floor trusses then bent, pulling away from the outer shell. When that happened, the floor pancaked onto the floor below, then a domino effect happened, speeding up as more weight and momentum gathered.

You can clearly see in all the videos that the collapse STARTED AT THE TOP, not at the bottom as happens in controlled demolitions.

That is the hardest one to explain. How did the towers collapse in the manner they did and so quickly. You could say that secondary explosives were planted by terrorist too, but then where are the real planes that were hijacked.

That's not what I read. The towers did indeed have an internal steel structure. And, secondary explosions were indeed witnessed at the basement levels.
