The largest objects that astronauts left on the Moon are the descent stages of the six lunar modules. They're each about 15 feet wide. In order to see something that size at the distance of the Moon (about 250,000 miles on average), you would need a telescope with a diameter of at least 100 meters (300+ feet). The largest telescope on Earth is about 10 meters in diameter. Even the Hubble Space Telescope, which has a diameter of 2.4 meters, cannot see anything we left on the Moon. It’s just not big enough or close enough to the Moon.

And you know that the astronaut nor his suit didn't directly touch the flag when he walked between it and the camera because...?

Look at the size of the astronaut's arm when he's next to the flag and when he walks by the flag fast and makes it move. It's quite a bit bigger when he walks by it so he's quite a bit farther from it.

Also, the flag moves toward the astronaut as it would if something walked by it.

PRINCETON, NJ -- A new conspiracy-themed television show airing on Fox television asks viewers "Could the entire moon program have been an elaborate deception staged to fool the public?" Considering Gallup polling from 1999, it's unlikely that the public will buy in to such a theory. In the July 1999 poll, the overwhelming majority of Americans (89%) do not believe the U.S. government staged or faked the Apollo moon landing. Only 6% of the public believes the landing was faked and another 5% have no opinion.

Survey Methods

The results below are based on telephone interviews with a randomly selected national sample of 1,061 adults 18 years and older, conducted July 13-14, 1999. For results based on this sample, one can say with 95 percent confidence that the maximum error attributable to sampling and other random effects is plus or minus 3 percentage points. In addition to sampling error, question wording and practical difficulties in conducting surveys can introduce error or bias into the findings of public opinion polls.

On the NGC, they had a program called 'Conspiracy Moon Landing?'

They had the guy on there who started all the rumors about the fake.

He's an old man who lives in a trailer with a bunch of cats. Yeah, now THERE'S a reliable source.

They also interviewed the radio telescope operators in England that actually listened to and tracked Apollo 11 as they landed. They have proof through their data that Apollo 11 DID land on the moon. And these are English astronomers. Why would they lie?

It was really interesting, because for every 'fake' they had the expert on that worked on that part of the mission and explained how it would work.

I guess one can only trust kitties to provide reliable information on fake moon landings.
