A mind is a terrible thing to waste....

Arab-American Psychologist Wafa Sultan: There Is No Clash of Civilizations but a Clash between the Mentality of the Middle Ages and That of the 21st Century

Following are excerpts from an interview with Arab-American psychologist Wafa Sultan. The interview was aired on Al-Jazeera TV on February 21, 2006
.

Wafa Sultan: The clash we are witnessing around the world is not a clash of religions, or a clash of civilizations. It is a clash between two opposites, between two eras. It is a clash between a mentality that belongs to the Middle Ages and another mentality that belongs to the 21st century. It is a clash between civilization and backwardness, between the civilized and the primitive, between barbarity and rationality. It is a clash between freedom and oppression, between democracy and dictatorship. It is a clash between human rights, on the one hand, and the violation of these rights, on other hand. It is a clash between those who treat women like beasts, and those who treat them like human beings. What we see today is not a clash of civilizations. Civilizations do not clash, but compete.

Host: I understand from your words that what is happening today is a clash between the culture of the West, and the backwardness and ignorance of the Muslims?

Wafa Sultan: Yes, that is what I mean.

[...]

Host: Who came up with the concept of a clash of civilizations? Was it not Samuel Huntington? It was not Bin Laden. I would like to discuss this issue, if you don't mind...

Wafa Sultan: The Muslims are the ones who began using this expression. The Muslims are the ones who began the clash of civilizations. The Prophet of Islam said: "I was ordered to fight the people until they believe in Allah and His Messenger." When the Muslims divided the people into Muslims and non-Muslims, and called to fight the others until they believe in what they themselves believe, they started this clash, and began this war. In order to start this war, they must reexamine their Islamic books and curricula, which are full of calls for takfir and fighting the infidels.

My colleague has said that he never offends other people's beliefs. What civilization on the face of this earth allows him to call other people by names that they did not choose for themselves? Once, he calls them Ahl Al-Dhimma, another time he calls them the "People of the Book," and yet another time he compares them to apes and pigs, or he calls the Christians "those who incur Allah's wrath." Who told you that they are "People of the Book"? They are not the People of the Book, they are people of many books. All the useful scientific books that you have today are theirs, the fruit of their free and creative thinking. What gives you the right to call them "those who incur Allah's wrath," or "those who have gone astray," and then come here and say that your religion commands you to refrain from offending the beliefs of others?

I am not a Christian, a Muslim, or a Jew. I am a secular human being. I do not believe in the supernatural, but I respect others' right to believe in it.

Dr. Ibrahim Al-Khouli: Are you a heretic?

Wafa Sultan: You can say whatever you like. I am a secular human being who does not believe in the supernatural... and it continues

It's amazing. Tragically dumbfounding might be a better phrase.

Forgery correctlly implies a TRUE and perhaps even top SECRET copy exists!

Besides that Fact.

Even if it was fiction.

Just look around you, it's sure funny that things are just as they are expressed in there, the whole way through, precise in every detail.

If it walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck...

Dude, if my friends and I controlled the media, it wouldn't suck so much. There would be about 200% more Jon Stewart, hockey night every night, and Pat Robertson wouldn't be allowed a bajillion miles within any media form.

Forgery MEANS fake.
Then Misattributions.

There are still the evidence that the elements within are a pure reflection to reality without.

Ya ya ya, blow it where some one else will believe it. Anyone that investigates will see that the jews control the media, the airwaves... meat... and the lists go on.

Heck they were notorious for slave trading during the early years... damned indians, they were not strong enough to last the rigorousness of outdoor labor...

Um... NO. When American Indians were used for slave labor in the "New World" Jews hadn't even arrived, and when they did, they tended to congregate around urban areas, particularly Charleston, SC, and New Amsterdam, AKA New York. However, the majority of Jews remained in Eastern Europe. It wasn't until the late 1800's and early 1900's that the Jewish population signifigantly increased in the United States, when Jews fled a new wave of pogroms... And the protocols emerged. This coincided with the rise of Alexander III, who helped initiate a new wave of violence against the Jews in order to bolster his power.

It wasn't that the American Indians weren't strong enough, regarding slave labor, it was that they lacked immunity to the diseases brought over by the Europeans. Years of close, urban living and squalid conditions had bred a whole host of horrors: Influenza, small pox, mumps, measels, etc. You should read the book "Guns, Germs, and Steel."

I read it for my European History class, and it's quite good.

Meat? Oh, I suppose us Jews are putting freaky MIND CONTROL drugs in your food or something... That, or you're just insane.

Here's the board of directors for Tyson foods, off of Wikipedia. Tyson is one of the biggest meat packing companies in the US.

"Richard Bond, Lloyd Hackley, Scott T. Ford, Jim Kever, Jo Ann Smith, Leland Tollett, Barbara Tyson, Don Tyson, John Tyson, and Albert Zapanta."

Wow... I don't know which name sounds more Jewish! Oh... Wait... They aren't.

As for the media... Rupert Murdoch owns about a third of all American media, and he's about as Jewish as a bacon sandwich on white bread with mayo.

How can I hate something that I don't even know exists?

No, I hate the people that create dishonesty in this world by claiming to know God.

...and it's all based on a false document.
These protocols are only a drop in the sea as regards reasons why a lot muslims hate the jews. This document is only rhetoric. It's "Proof". Somehow the jews have pissed off the muslims, and those real reasons are what is important.

Much debate exists about why anti-semitism exists. Whatever the reason is, it does exists and that is why people read and believe such documents. The document is irrelevant. The anger isn't.

Nevertheless dear jefferson don't attribute the documents as a motive. It is more of a symptom.

ANd also, most people tend to believe any conspiracy theory that supports their own prejudices. This is not a particularly muslim phenomena, it's human.
