What I want to know is why everybody here that thinks Bush is a complete idiot, thinks that he is just a puppet?? Why would anyone want to use a puppet as an idiot, I can understand why people would want to do it in cases that are smaller or don't require press but, why would anyone want to do that with the president??

Bush is not an idiot. He's a Yale graduate with an MBA - and while "daddy" might get you into Yale, daddy will not make you a graduate. But the people that hate him will do anything and everything possible to smear him.

I do think, however, that what "fuels the fire" of a lot of the Bush Haters is the fact that GWB has never really done anything that distinguishes him as a national hero, a scholar, a business genius, etc. In fact, up until about the age of 40, he basically did a lot of screwing around.

If he was in college today, he would be what most people call a "slacker".

For the record I voted for the Idiot who is our President, If I Like him or not has nothing to do with him being an idiot. For the record I disagree with more of what he has done or is doing currentlly.

For the record I have friends who are complete IDIOTS, they are still my friends and I like them.

Like has nothing to do with it, I will start calling him (G.W.) a Slacker if you prefer, It does nothing to change his approval rating.

What I am pointing out is that there are MANY people who simply HATE Bush - and there is NOTHING that will ever change that.

I don't care any more abou Bush's low approval ratings today than I cared about his extremely high ratings immediately after 9-11. They don't mean anything - except to those to profit by constant polls, and those who like idle speculation.

Because of the extent that Bush has screwed up in the last 6 years you are probably right, nothing will ever change the fact that people hate him.

But that shouldn't be too surprising since this administration has been a total waste.

I think he is an idiot based on his actions from the time he was young through his current position as president.

He is the President of the United States, that's why you want him as your puppet. Idiot or not is he not one of the most powerful people on on the planet?

From where I sit (behind my computer in faraway OZ) Bush comes across as a non event.He doesn't seem to have a personality.You get the feeling that there are lots of buttons somewhere and others keep pressing the right ones to make him say whatever they want.
That he is one of (if not the most) powerful persons on earth make some of us really nervous.Personally i am very wary of people who have simplistic views about God,and His/Her place in their lives. There is little difference between such a person and the suicide bombers.They operate from the same unshakable and dubious motive about this world and the next, and what to do in this one to get 70 virgins in the next.Sorry if I have offended anyone's sensibilities.
