Shocking news to me...
This may not be shocking to people that believe in lots of conspiracy theories...

My History of Philosophy teacher was talking, Ms. Telmon, about governments and how governments are not truly controlled by the people that are the elected officials. She continued and said that she had a student last year an American student who openly said in a class that his father worked for or owned (i think owned) a oil company. The student also said that his father would call up senators that his father would make campaign contributions to and ask for favors.

One of my many dorm buddies JUST told me that this kids name is Chase Keller. Im gonna do some more research tho. My dorm buddy said that kid would bullshit alot to show off tho. This has nothing to do with anything but, Im pretty sure he was gay...

No one person OWNS his own major oil company - so the student who was supposedly saying that stuff in class is full of crap. He was, most likely, just trying to brag and impress girls (or maybe guys?).

On the other hand, the American political system is very much influenced by campaign donations and Political Action Committees (PACs). Special interest groups have great influence on American political policies.

Hello,guys...What is amazing to me is that anyone would be surprised to find out their government is not as democratic as they thought.

Democracy is just another regime to make sure the rich and powerful keep getting more rich and more powerful. And they don't have to wear uniforms while doing it...
