I did an AIM search, like AOL's own Google. There's more than one website about the 7000 degrees thing. Clink on the link below.

Journey to the Center of the Earth - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

And............... if you really want to journey to the center of the earth, a new movie will come out in a couple of months on this. Will it really be 7000 degrees at the center of the earth? Will it be hot enough to make popcorn? Will it really roast Gertrude the duck?

Find out on July 11, 2008.

Told you Grace...You need to READ the links provided...Not glance at them and dismiss them cause you want to hang onto what your 'scholars' have claimed the conditions 'were'.

And your temps there are getting hotter by the post it seems...You do realize that lava itself only reaches 1250 C (2282 F), which means if we go with your temps you're claiming now? Even the rubble the firemen are standing on in the pictures on the link Knot posted, would be melted? In fact ALL of ground zero would have been reduced to a single lump of melted rock, concrete, and steel at 7000 degrees (farenheit or celcius) and nobody would have been able to get within blocks of any of the buildings because of a 7000 degree heat you say was underground in the rubble...

It literally takes hundreds of miles of dirt, rock, debris, etc. to cover lava and keep it from venting...Yet here you are claiming that it was 7000 degrees under only several hundred feet deep rubble?

You do realize that 7000 degrees (farenhiet) is almost the heat of the sun's surface (9032-10832 F or 5000-6000 C)

Grace...You need to give it up before you make yourself look sillier then you already do...But thank you for pointing out that my observation about you and your conspiracy fanatics as correct.

I suppose this thread is going to keep on going. 7,000 degrees?? No way could it ever get that hot, unless one want to journey to the center of the earth.

LOL!

Interesting...Grace is going to eat that up.

We have plasma generators being invented for commercial (patent issued 2003) and military (patent issued 2005) use and fondly referred to as sun machines...Basically, the heat 'vaporizes' matter and produces energy and gases.

The 'A' bomb...Heat generated from an atomic explosion...

Oh, and my fav link there....The temperature of the earth's core.

Of course, there's also degrees used to measure the color of light (4,000-7,000 degrees Kelvin measures color temperatures closest to the sun's color/floresent lighting), speed of athletes (guess that's where they get the term-fast as lightening), diplomas (degrees) issued from colleges...Oh, and again the sun's surface temperatures....

Guess this is where the conspiracy fanatics start with the theory a light laser was used? ROTFLMAOL!!!

You realize how cold it can get at a college graduation when one only get one degree that day? One degree!!! That's cold.

But the person getting the degree feels hot inside when the degree is handed to him or her, knowing that four years of hard work was worth it in the halls of learning.

Well, it 'could' have...If an atomic bomb had been dropped there...But then the other buildings around it would have also been flattened, from the shock wave...

Then there's that whole other conspiracy theory that swear a laser/plasma generator was used...Guess the laser/generator was put in the basements and turned on? ROTFLMAOL!

Damages Caused by Atomic Bombs

Temperature conversion online.

According to the website above, the temperature at ground zero in Hiroshima was est. at 300,000 degrees centigrade, when the atom bomb went off. That would put it at 540,000 degrees fahrenheit. That is a far hotter temperature than the temperature at the WTC on 09/11.

But how can it ever get that hot??? When I read the book about the Enola Gay, the author said it was 50 millions degrees fahrenheit at ground zero.

Amazon.com: Enola Gay: Mission to Hiroshima:...Amazon.com: Enola Gay: Mission to Hiroshima:...

Data

This data above showed that the ground was heated to 7,000 degrees Fahrenheit.

I really wish this thread would end. There is always going to be a never-ending discussion over this. I guess someone can't really be convinced, or this would all be put to bed.

Oh, but contrair...I found a conspiracy site that claims they used 'small pure hydrogen bombs' instead of the big ones that explains their 'reasons' why supposedly the temperatures were around 7000 F.

The 9/11 Operation: A Summary

And they even have a little drawing of where they believe the charges were placed to assist the mini pure hydrogen bombs...And they were ignited using a powerful beam array or anti-matter detonator.

Oh, and the reason mini pure hydrogen bombs were used? They're not made with uranium or plutonium so they don't emit 'radiation fallout'...

I found that interesting, since 'pure' in regards to nuclear weapons actually means the active materials ARE uranium and plutonium.

Nuclear weapon design - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Quote:
Pure fission weapons were the first nuclear weapons built and the only type ever used in warfare. The active material is fissile uranium (U-235) or plutonium (Pu-239), explosively assembled into a chain-reacting critical mass by one of two methods:
Of course, there's 'Clean Bombs'...But the idea of them was scrapped and was purely for public relations in response to the radiation fallout caused in Japan. And incidentally...The 'clean bombs' have to be bigger then the 'dirty bombs' to produce the same energy blasts...

Which, compared to their site compares nuclear explosion images to the fall of the WTC...Means that the concept of them using 'mini' hydrogen bombs, minus the uranium or plutonium?

Quote:
Clean bombs
On March 1, 1954, America's largest-ever nuclear test explosion, the 15-megaton Bravo shot of Operation Castle at Bikini, delivered a promptly lethal dose of fission-product fallout to more than 6,000 square miles of Pacific Ocean surface.[22] Radiation injuries to Marshall Islanders and Japanese fishermen made that fact public and revealed the role of fission in hydrogen bombs.

In response to the public alarm over fallout, an effort was made to design a clean multi-megaton weapon, relying almost entirely on fusion. Since it takes roughly five megatons of fusion to produce the same blast and fire effect as one megaton of fission, the clean bomb needed to be very large. For the first and only time, a third stage, called the tertiary, was added, using the secondary as its primary. The device was called Bassoon. It was tested as the Zuni shot of Operation Redwing, at Bikini on May 28, 1956. With all the uranium in Bassoon replaced with a substitute material such as lead, its yield was 3.5 megatons, 85% fusion and only 15% fission.

On July 19, AEC Chairman Lewis Strauss said the clean bomb test "produced much of importance . . . from a humanitarian aspect." However, two days later the dirty version of Bassoon, with the uranium parts restored, was tested as the Tewa shot of Redwing. Its 5-megaton yield, 87% fission, was deliberately suppressed to keep fallout within a smaller area. This dirty version was later deployed as the three-stage, 25-megaton Mark-41 bomb, which was carried by U.S. Air Force bombers, but never tested at full yield.

As such, high-yield clean bombs were a public relations exercise. The actual deployed weapons were the dirty version, which maximized yield for the same size device.
Gotta love those wacky conspiracy fanatics. LOL!
