Maybe we should have launched fighters from every base in the country and shot down every plane that was in the air, it was only 4546 of them. I'm sure that would have been a very popular plan. At what point do you decide to shoot the plane down, what if a plane was shot down by mistake, what other collateral damage would there have been shooting an airliner down over NYC?

You don't even know for who or what you are risking your life for... there is no honor in that. Freedom? That is a joke. Just like Osama said: if he was interested in attacking freedom he would have attacked Sweden.

The freedom to practice the religion of your choice, not one that is chosen for you. These are a couple of the freedoms that that our Armed Forces fight for.I was in the military,so were two of my brothers and my father.I thank God for them and all others who have stood in harms way in uniform service of this country. The one thing alot of people like hevusa dont understand is that love of country is a beacon for those who join the military.AIt may sound trite but there is no greater sacrafice than giving up your life defending your family or your country.People like hevusa dont understand that and will probably make fun of this post but I dont really care.

If you would care to learn the true basis under which our country was founded you would understand how I feel. People that join the military with a sense of honor in this country are being fooled and it makes me angry.

"In this riveting and careful study, Baigent and Leigh (coauthors of The Holy Blood and the Holy Grail ) suggest that Freemasonic lodges served America's Founding Fathers as a working model for our federal system. Freemasonry's doctrine of universal brotherhood and tolerance, they assert, had a liberalizing influence in England and France, in particular on Voltaire, Hume, Rousseau, Montesquieu as well as their disciples in what was to become the United States. Early, largely conjectural chapters link Freemasonry to remnants of the Knights Templar, a medieval society of European warrior-monks, some of whose members appear to have found refuge in Scotland. No learning disabilities in my family other than the fact I try to tune out people who continually bash the US when they enjoy the oppurtunities it offers.
