In health care, we see this way too much. Too many available pills + a ruff point in life = Tragedy. Her life was very public and so what her addiction to these meds. Someone should have stepped in.
That's a good way for doctors to be opened to criminal charges, if not civil litigation.

I had one doctor, a rheumatologist, who monitored a prescription I was taking for my back. It was "nalfon", to which he said it was a narcotic, and addictive. Having heard that, I stopped taking the medicine right there and took physical therapy instead. That worked a lot better than that medicine.

I don't know if Smith wanted to take medicines, because I sure don't. She should have stayed out of the limelight as much as she could. But, like you said, and in a way, she was not allowed to.

She was a stripper that happened along the right man at the right time and now there's a war over who gets her child.

good heavens - I'm not even a fan - but she was more than a stripper

she started OUT as a stripper - but, hell, Sylvester Stallone started out as a porno actor

she was a model, actress, producer, tv celebrity, and an author

and, though she was substantially richer after marrying, she wasn't a drop out homeless person when they met - she was a well-paid and well-known model

Actress? Producer? What films did she star in or produce?

Author? What has she written? or do you include books that she coloured in all by herself??

Let's face it, her only talent was having big boobs

So you agree with that poster that she was not any of those things???

Although her film appearances in The Hudsucker Proxy and Naked Gun 33 1/3: The Final Insult were highly publicized in 1994, little was done to further Smith's acting career. Her first starring role was as Colette Dubois, a retired spy seeking revenge for the murder of her husband, in the action/thriller To the Limit (1995).
Smith next starred in the action/thriller Skyscraper (1997), which she also produced, as a helicopter pilot, Carrie Wisk,[34] who lands on a high rise building and, upon learning it has been taken over by terrorists, becomes engaged in a deadly fight to save hostages.
Both films, and Smith's performances in them, were usually critically panned. During the course of the litigation over her late

husband's estate, her career stalled. Her legal battle, her increasing weight, and her reportedly bizarre behavior made her regular fodder for late night television comedians.
In 2002, she debuted in her own reality TV series on the E! cable network, The Anna Nicole Show.[35] The series focused on her personal and private life in the manner of other reality shows, such as the ratings hit The Osbournes. One of the recurring guests on the show was interior designer Bobby Trendy of West Hollywood, CA, who often feuded with lawyer Howard K. Stern.
The debut of the The Anna Nicole Show was the highest rated series on the network, but critics blasted it and ratings dropped with each successive week. However, it achieved a cult status among some, particularly college fraternities.[18] The show was cancelled in February 2004 due to "creative differences," but has retained some life in reruns and on DVD releases.
Smith's next appearance on the big screen was as herself in Wasabi Tuna (2003), about a group of friends who kidnap her dog, Sugar-Pie, on Halloween. She appeared as herself again in Be Cool (2005), a crime/comedy about the film and music industries that stars John Travolta, Uma Thurman and The Rock. In September 2005, she starred as Lucy in Illegal Aliens, which she also produced, a sci-fi/comedy about beautiful space aliens saving the earth from evil.[36] This is scheduled for release in May 2007.[37]
