That's a stupid question, because it's so specific. A more accurate question would be "how many times has our government planned or actually acted out false flag operations (attacks on our own people/military) or otherwise completely lie or misinform the public about such events to provide a pretext for something?" And the answer to that would definitely rise. I can think of two just off the top of my head: Operation Northwoods and Gulf of Tonkin.

The government is responsible because they couldn't stop the attack, which in turn, caused more people to lose thier lifes. They should have shot that plane down when they had a chance.

It still doesn't disprove the fact that steel frame buildings can be brought down. No other building had taken a hit from a commercial airplane like those towers did.
