| Sorry...Been very busy with the game site I moderate on. Hopefully with most of the kiddies returning to school now, my time will free up to bug ya'll endlessly.
I do pop in just about everyday. Just haven't had the time to get into any serious discussions with the other board going bonkers with kids over summer break. LOL!

| Last night, some of my neighbors took me to dinner in downtown Chicago at a Brazilian steakhouse called Brazazz (hope I spelled that right). I had heard great things about this place; and I wanted to know what "Brazilian" was supposed to taste like.
I suppose that I was dissapointed. Not because the food and/or service was bad- it most certainly was not- but probably because I expected something different. The cut of meat that is ordered is cooked on a spit and brought to the table by waitstaff (called "gauchos") and carved individually for the customer.
It was nice; but I still feel that I missed what was supposed to be "Brazilian" in this. The closest I can imagine is the decor of the restaurant. One could easily imagine being in Rio de Janeiro based on the decor and the music. All in all; it wasn't bad. I think I was expecting a certain flair and taste in the food.
Well, I have to go out of town next week for a family function; and Dad has made his suggestion for when we get back: he wants Beef or Chicken Wellington. I have to spend the rest of this week looking for a place to buy puff pastry(phyllo dough) to make this dish- I'll probably try one of the Greek restaurants around the area. |
