Onlookers gawk at horrific gang rape at Homecoming dance

Country Stunned By California Teen Gang Rape | WOLDCNews

Richmond, California (CNN) — Investigators say as many as 20 people were involved in or stood and watched the gang rape of a 15-year-old girl outside a California high school homecoming dance Saturday night.
Police posted a $20,000 reward Tuesday for anyone who comes to them with information that helps arrest and convict those involved in what authorities describe as a 2½-hour assault on the Richmond High School campus in suburban San Francisco.

Damn.

I had the same reaction my mother had back in the 1960's when in NY city a woman was stabbed repeatedly as on watchers did nothing to help including calling police... Mom said America died a little today.

Back then not everyone had a phone but now everyone has one. Not making excuses for the 60's reaction but ...

That was made into a TV movie. It was also a classroom film, too. In that one, the man and his wife had an argument about it, and the man later speaks into the cameras and talks about it. I suppose the subject was not to stand around and do nothing, but to call police.

The public would be afraid of calling the police because the perp and/or his friends would retaliate against the witness.

The case against the stabber of the UConn football player is an example of that. A teen was arrested on charges of making threats against witnesses.

If you fear retaliation call your uncle and tell him to call the cops that an anonymous person told him there was a gang rape going on at...
