Kind of ironic how a "religious holiday" has become one of the most raunchy, drunken orgies in the world. And Rio makes New Orleans look tame!

It is also ironic how religion usually tames people to the extent that they will avoid a good time in this current life (that is a sure thing) for a reward that may not even exist in the next life.

Morality is not contingent on religion to exist. Therefore religion only detracts from the purity of morality.

Isn't Fat Tuesday the day BEFORE a religious Holiday?
