I agree with you 200% procent though; Marijuana should be regulated.
Like I said above, there are a lot more people who take a toke than you would imagine and a lot of them are conservative minded. Growing my own for personal use is also a lot more common than you would imagine, especially in rural areas.

I'm not a republican or a democrat member. The only reason the republicans have increased the role of government is because they had to. The war and illegal immigration.

They've increased the role of the government across the board, not just on security. I'm talking they're getting involved with religion, with gay marriage, some want to ban gay sex, a constitutional amendment to ban flag burning, consistently giving large corporate handouts, etc. Its across the board. Goldwater would now be considered a liberal.

The government is not getting involved with religion. They are fighting the ACLU who is trying to ban all forms of religious expression. If they are getting involved, it is to protect this precious freedom of Americans.

Gay marriage has been voted down by every state that has voted on it. It is not the government getting involved, it is the homo lobby who is pushing for it.

I agree with the amendment against flag burning. Corporate handouts as you call them is not a republican thing. Both parties give tax breaks to corporations to promote business expansion.
