Whats the matter?Cannot argue the points made?Just can't come up with a logical argument to counter my post?Or you cannot argue against someone who has real life experience in todays society? What is the problem hevusa?Oh,thats right, when you cannot come up with an informed argument, resort to an outright dismissive post.Thats really going to get your point across.

The average toker currently pays more than the cost of gold per gram for his marijuana because it is illegal and thus this drives the street price up.

Marijuana is incredibly cheap to produce. Even if a pack of joints cost $20 and $15 of that was tax it would still make the producer a lot of money AND it would be a savings over current street prices. Money users saved would be diverted back into our economy instead of making dealers rich.

This is laughable. Marijuana doesn't make you sick if you don't have it. There is no physical withdrawl. If it were legal it would make it more affordable and reduce crime as dangerous dealers would have a much smaller clientele and thus less to fight over. Money and resources could be diverted elsewhere from the "war on weed" (jail costs, court costs, etc). There are so few downsides to legalizing something that 50 million Americans have tried it is silly.

The statements you made are asinine duncanmac.

Possibly true.Since I don't deal in that end of the trade,I will concede the point.

Cigs are also incredibly cheap to produce. If you think that the govt. will not make tax it to an incredible length you are sadly mistaken. It might start out reasonably inexpensive but it will soon spiral out of sight.

I have seen the lengths that people will go to get some weed. They will do almost anything to get it.Don't tell me that there is no withdrawl when I know people who cannot start their day without firing up like I need a cigarette in the morning.Personal experience is alot more credible than studies done by the people who want something legalized.Statistics can be skewed anyway you want to prove your point.

I hope the government taxes the hell out of it! It would still be cheaper than street prices. Use the money for education and election reform! Reduce crime.

"Penalties against possession of a drug should not be more damaging to an individual than the use of the drug itself; and where they are, they should be changed. Nowhere is this more clear than in the laws against possession of marihuana in private for personal use... Therefore, I support legislation amending Federal law to eliminate all Federal criminal penalties for the possession of up to one ounce [28g] of marihuana."

What I find interesting is that for someone who has such an obvious distrust of the government you are willing to let them take control of something that I take from your posts that you partake in.Isn't that a little hypocritical?
Of course that is just my opinion.

No, I trust mother earth to produce some fine ganja over the trust I have in our government to produce a democracy any day of the week. If legalized there would be many fine companies who would produce marijuana wonderfully.

Great job connecting a murderer and a prolific user of acid to marijuana. You keep impressing me with your mental faculties.

Thanks(yes i realize it was sarcasm). Using those names was just taking the names of famous (or infamous) 60's "celebrities".
You sound like a throwback to that generation.I bet you even go to the airport and spit on military personnel and call them babykillers too just like your heroes the hippy generation.

I just want the baby killers to be told the truth when risking their lives for what they think is a just cause. As for the 60's I wasn't around then.
