I knew this guy was drunk out of his mind...I should have called the cops but I didn't. I really don't even know if that guy could of made it home driving like that..

Now if someone smoked a good amount of pot, I'm sure that at 4am they would not be swerving out of control. Actually, I saw a video online of someone who volunteered to smoke a lot of pot so they can observe his driving habits, before and after. I believe he was going slower, and trying to be more careful when he was high. Now if you do the same test but with alcohol, clearly the effects are going to be different, and worse in the case of alcohol. So why isn't pot legal??
Couldn't have said it better myself.

There is little doubt that the world in general is more liberal than it was 50 years ago and beyond. Conservatives are simply roadblocks on the path to an ever more progressive and liberal world. What a sad existence.

I still have not tried any myself, but I decided against it again.

I think nothing seems better than having all my wits about me.
And when I need to unwind, it is better to have a cup of Yogi Tea.

This is just what I am saying for me. But cos I did chime in on this thread to say something about considering it, I thought I would finish that thought with my reconsidering too.

"Narcotics police are an enormous, corrupt international bureaucracy ... and now fund a coterie of researchers who provide them with 'scientific support' ... fanatics who distort the legitimate research of others. ... The anti-marijuana campaign is a cancerous tissue of lies, undermining law enforcement, aggravating the drug problem, depriving the sick of needed help, and suckering well-intentioned conservatives and countless frightened parents."

The benefits of hemp are enormous!!!

Besides the medicinal benefits of marijuana itself, the hemp plant can produce more paper in 6 months then trees can in 50 years, produce a better fiber then cotton, and the seed oil is richer in vitamin E and essential fatty acids then just about anything.

Thousands of people die each year because of legal drugs (alcohol, mainly) yet millions, possibly billions, of tax dollars are spent each year combatting this relatively benign drug.

It's stupid.

i agree, but people need to realize hemp and pot are not even the same plant.
HEMP AND MARIJUANA: Myths and Realities

i also don't think pot is bad, as far as drugs go.

Alright alright. We get that you don't think pot is bad. But does it not stand to reason that if we legalize pot, other drugs will follow suit? It's not like you can say they won't push for it. They're already using alcohol being legal as grounds for this. And you can't deny the danger in using other drugs like methamphetamine, cocaine, and heroin.
"An intellectual is going to have doubts, for example, about a fundamentalist religious doctrine that admits no doubt, about an imposed political system that allows no doubt, about a perfect aesthetic that has no room for doubt." ~ Antonio Tabucchi
