Hardly! They'd still be selling. Don't kid yourself.

There's a black market for EVERYTHING, whether it's legal or not.

But they wouldn't be making a pile of cash anymore. How will it still be attractive to hustle without the 300%-1000% profit?

Do thieves NOT steal, strip, and sell the parts off of cars?

You can buy all car parts legally. Why is there a black market for it?

Money.

It'll be true with legalizing drugs too. Don't kid yourselves. Criminals don't cease to be criminals. These criminals will NOT abide by FDA regulations, nor will the pay taxes.

I'm not trying to take a moral high-ground here. I'm saying that I honestly do NOT believe that legalizing these drugs will have any discernable, long-term benefit to the country.

They won't cease to be criminals but they will cease to have the power to sell unregulated drugs to people. That is 95% of their business right there!

You know as well as I do that we could go round and around and around and around about this, and still be saying the same things.

My personal opinion is that I do NOT think legalizing currently illegal drugs will improve ANYTHING in the long run. You believe it will.

NEITHER of us have any proof, because it would only come somewhere in the future.

That's all I have to say about this (other than that you're completely wrong!).

I hear ya.

I would be satisfied with just the legalization of marijuana.

That is all I have to say about that.

Yeah, I love pot. I like how it is directly "of the earth" and has such an intimate relationship with the human mind. Almost symbiotic.

I am a musician and song writer as well and it seems to feed creativity.

And it has not led you to other drugs? Experimentation?
