This is simply ignorant. MORE "tax credits"? The year my son was born, my wife was grossing mid $30K's after taking a couple months for maternity leave. Now I know that's not a lot of money, but it's still right about median for the county we were living at the time. When I filed our federal taxes that year, we qualified for earned income credits that not only refunded all taxes she paid that year, but also gave us an extra couple of grand. Now that's crazy IMHO that someone can make $30K and pay NO federal taxes. And yet, that's not enough. The tax base is getting moved even higher...with the threat of "universal healthcare" forcing those that pay to provide for those that already aren't even paying any taxes.
