There lies the difference.
I think the majority of people who work hard and earn their millions on their own have a tendency to be more liberal (as in, wanting to help others) and those that inherit their money tend to not give a damn about anyone else but themselves.

I don't think the Carters were wealthy either. At best, they were upper middle class. The had a farm and a small farm supply store. Quote:
