O'Reilly was only doing his radio show. Then he gets deliberately misquoted. Nothing condescending about his honest observations. Do you think that it is OK to be deliberately trashed. Watch "The O'Reilly Factor" and seriously consider what Bill says. You will be surprised how much sense he makes.

All right, I went to their website (Media Matters) and dove straight into the latest race issue. O'Reilly was treating Al Sharpton to dinner (Awww ain't that cute?) and Bill-O apparently said something really stupid that could very easily be interpreted as something racist. It went along the lines of "OMFG blacks are just like whites? Amazing! These blacks are neatly dressed and articulate! They aren't shouting ' M'Fer I want more iced tea!' . just OMG!"

This is exactly what he said (It's got some commentary by Air America but it does contain the full comment. No misquoting of any sort.)

You be the judge:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=<obje...mbed></object>
Also you can go here to listen to Bill-O's comment:
Media Matters - O'Reilly surprised "there was no difference" between Harlem restaurant and other New York restaurants

On the front page, they also had Rush Limbaugh whining to an Anti-War Republican veteran about he was so wrong for wanting our troops out of Iraq. While he was taking the next caller, he referred to the veteran who had previously phoned in as a "phony soldier". I guess if you don't support the endeavor in Iraq, you're not a real soldier in Rush's eyes. Whatever happened to "support the troops"?
Media Matters - Limbaugh: Service members who support U.S. withdrawal are "phony soldiers"

I guess people interpret his comments according to their opinion about him.

Either way when he stis up controversy, either for or against him, then he wins!

And he does lead the pack in that tiny market:

"The O'Reilly Factor" is seen by more people — 2.2 million average this year — than its direct competitors on MSNBC and CNN combined.

MSNBC's "Countdown" with Keith Olbermann averages 721,000 viewers in the time slot while CNN's 8 p.m. show averages 611,000, according to Nielsen Media Research.

I watched the video. IF I hear of Rev. Al Sharpton ( he was there) making a case like what I believe is spin, then I will consider it possible.

O'Reilly is the best in the "No spin Zone". I like the new feature called "Patriots & Pinheads".

I do apologize though for making you listen to Air America's commentary in order to get the full story lol. (If you went through my Youtube link btw.) I put up a link from Media Matters, it's just O'Reilly's comment, unedited and no commentary included.

Here's the link again:

That said, I think, after listening to the entire broadcast, that Bill is getting a bum rap this time. He is clearly saying that he believes that other white people have stereotypical expectations when they go to places or events that are predominantly attended by Blacks.

His "I couldn't get over" remark was an extremely poor choice of words. But it is not fair to characterize him as racist on the basis of that little snippet.

On the other hand, I think maybe white Americans should be offended.

Does Bill really think we all have our heads up our asses so far that we don't know that black people with good manners and nice clothes exist?

Bill O'Reilly never said that all of us are that ignorant, just too many.

My wife and I were discussing that just yesterday. There are MANY white people that live in the suburbs of Atlanta that will do anything to avoid coming into the city. And it's not because of the traffic.
