Do you talk about race with all of your acquaintances? I doubt it. It might surprise you to find out how ignorant some people are, even people you think know better.

Here's the link again:
Media Matters - O'Reilly surprised "there was no difference" between Harlem restaurant and other New York restaurants
I heard Senator Clinton brag that she created Media Matters. Not exactly fair and balanced.

Yup agreed.

After listening to the comments made by O'Reilly, I really don't think that he was being a racist, he was just lamenting on the ignorance of some.

Quote:
"The band was excellent, but they were dressed in tuxedos, and this is what white America doesn't know, particularly people who don't have a lot of interaction with black Americans. They think that the culture is dominated by Twista, Ludacris, and Snoop Dogg."
The only genuine criticism I have is with his verbiage, especially when he said this:
Quote:
And I couldn't get over the fact that there was no difference between Sylvia's restaurant and any other restaurant in New York City. I mean, it was exactly the same, even though it's run by blacks, primarily black patronship.
If one didn't read the entire transcript, one could be fooled into thinking that O'Reilly was shocked seeing blacks behaving I guess. That he was either living in a bubble, or he had some latent racist feelings towards blacks. This one quote could easily be taken out of context and be used as proof of O'Reilly supposed racist leanings. I'm not the biggest fan of Bill-O, but to call him a racist is just plain dishonest.
