I like Obama only insofar that he is not Clinton (and I think a lot of Americans fall into the same category). The only candidate that closely reflected most of my views was Kucinich in both 2004 and now in 2008. But, even though I supported him it's obvious that he wasn't going to last very long and just recently officially pulled out of the race. " Technically" Gravel is still in the race and he is obviously my next best choice.
But come the Ohio primaries I will vote for John Edwards if he's still in it. He's my 'fallback' candidate, and he was my second choice last primary also. I think he's definitely improved since last election though, and I personally believe, substance wise, he owns in the debates. But inevitably I'm more in favor of his policies and attitude (almost New Deal-esque) than either Clinton or Obama.
Frankly I'm tired of de facto dynasty with the Bush's, Clinton's, Kennedy's, etc. If people seriously think electing Clinton will bring much change they must be deluding themselves. Not only that but I think Clinton is less electable in the general election than either two other Democratic candidates.
The Democrats need to wake up before they nominate another John Kerry.

Level up: 49%, 155 Points needed | | I personally prefere Obama, I like the way he thinks about certain things. Clinton on the other hand, I don't care what anyone says about her break-down, but that wouldn't really be a plus for anyone. Not to be sexist, but I really don't think the U.S. is ready for a woman president. Maybe in the future and I think it will happen soon or later, but I really think Obama will come out on top.
Notice America is more focused on Obama and Clinton, sure Obama is the first African American and Clinton the first woman but I think when comes down to it, America will go for Obama. (If this makes any sense, and if it doesn't I apologize, not on the ball at all today.)

Not only that but more people say the US is ready to elect an African-American as opposed to a woman. Your opinion seems to match the data.
