Those seem to be opposing ideologies.
| Kat said referencing my choices being narrowed down to Obama or Paul.
Yes, but I have cognitive dissonance.

Level up: 4%, 10 Points needed | | On this night before Super Tuesday, I'm really concerned. Mostly by the fact that people are actually buying this "Change" B.S. being spewed by some candidates. The plain fact is "change" cannot be implemented by one person - namely, the President. The government just isn't setup that way. You need to get Congress on-board. And because congressional elections don't line-up with Presidential elections there may not be as much enthusiasm for change. It may take 2 years or more to get enough "like-minded" Congress members to implement real change and, by then, there may be more important issues ttoo deal with. Personally I like H. Clinton. Barack is certainly a powerful speaker (may be not as powerful as some suggest but...) and a seemingly sincere man. However I feel he hasn't the experience in security, diplomacy, economics, forgeign affairs, etc. Hillary, at least, has been exposed to every element of the office of President, directly or otherwise. Let's assume a situatiion arises that is outside the scope of Barrack and Hillary's experience. Hillary at least shares residence with a Former President - one, by the way, who led us to the greatest period economic growth since WW2. That is a great person to have in your corner. I'd certainly feel more comfortable with that team at the helm, no matter who she chose as a running mate. Barack just doesn't have that kind of support. |

I just love the fact that ol' dubya screwed up so bad that being a white, rich, Christian man is now seen as a negative... almost unelectable.
At least dubya gave us that
The rest he took.
But then when you step back and look at the big picture we are still facing the fact that we have a locked two party system. How the hell can two nearly opposing views represent 300 million diverse Americans? Insane.

Level up: 52%, 44 Points needed | | Obama is a member of an all black, racist church with ties to Louise Farahkan. Quote: |
“We are a congregation which is unashamedly black and unapologetically Christian,” says the Trinity United Church of Christ’s website in Chicago. “We are an African people and remain true to our native land, the mother continent, the cradle of civilization.”
| Imagine if Mitt Romney was a member of a church that was 'unashamebly white'. There would be a huge outcry.

Imagine if Mitt Romney was a member of a church that was 'unashamebly white'. There would be a huge outcry. | Funny...But reading the whole 'about us' page gives a much clearer picture what was actually said. Even Snopes lists the claims being made about the church supposedly being racists as an urban legend. As well as the innuendos/claims about Farahkan having supposed 'ties to the church' being an exaggeration and urban legend.
Sure...If it was a white church saying such a thing, it would cause upset among the media and the people. Like Snopes said...It's a catch 22. But unfortunately, considering the history of white supremists in the US...A significant number of whites saying such a thing, would be saying it in a racist manner...Look at the number of white supremists churches that are openly supportive of KKK...They do say such things and unfortunately...They say it intending to be racist.
And this particular church, that Obama attends, was created during the civil movement era...As such, they're statement isn't racist but is in fact holding onto their pride in their heritage, culture, and Christianity. Trinity United Church of Christ Quote:
We are a congregation which is Unashamedly Black and Unapologetically Christian... Our roots in the Black religious experience and tradition are deep, lasting and permanent. We are an African people, and remain "true to our native land," the mother continent, the cradle of civilization. God has superintended our pilgrimage through the days of slavery, the days of segregation, and the long night of racism. It is God who gives us the strength and courage to continuously address injustice as a people, and as a congregation. We constantly affirm our trust in God through cultural expression of a Black worship service and ministries which address the Black Community.
The Pastor as well as the membership of Trinity United Church of Christ is committed to a 10-point Vision:- A congregation committed to ADORATION.
- A congregation preaching SALVATION.
- A congregation actively seeking RECONCILIATION.
- A congregation with a non-negotiable COMMITMENT TO AFRICA.
- A congregation committed to BIBLICAL EDUCATION.
- A congregation committed to CULTURAL EDUCATION.
- A congregation committed to the HISTORICAL EDUCATION OF AFRICAN PEOPLE IN DIASPORA.
- A congregation committed to LIBERATION.
- A congregation committed to RESTORATION.
- A congregation working towards ECONOMIC PARITY.

No where is AMERICA even mentioned. Notice too, what color you will need to be if you should want to join Obama's church... B-L-A-C-K!!! Doesn't look like his choice of religion has improved much over his (former?) Muslim upbringing.
Are you aware that Obama's middle name is Mohammed? Strip away his nice looks, the big smile and smooth talk and what do you get? Certainly a racist, as plainly defined by the stated position of his church! And possibly a covert worshiper of the Muslim faith, even today. This guy desires to rule over America while his loyalty is totally vested in a Black Africa!
I cannot believe this has not been all over the TV and newspapers.

2. Even if he is racist, refer to number one.
