| Clinton/Obama - the Dream Ticket emerges There's only one right answer - a Clinton/Obama ticket Otherwise whoever gets the nomination will be pissing off the other 50% of the Democratic party and that's not good. The two aren't that far apart on issues. But there's no sense on battering themselves for the next 6 months whilst teh Republicans stand around clapping! Also it lines up Obama for 4 or 8 years of experience before running for President. It could lead to a 16 year run for Democrats. | |||||||||||||||||||||

| A Clinton/Obama or Obama/Clinton ticket wouldn't make much sense, and most people on both sides of this competition actually wouldn't like to see such a ticket according to polls. I don't think either one of them are interested in becoming the Vice President. We've seen long primary competitions before, and people haven't had that hard of a time rallying behind the winning candidate. We're much more likely to see a rather unknown running mate (I believe the Governor of my home state of Ohio, Ted Strickland has been rumored as a possible running mate for Clinton, though I personally seriously doubt it), or perhaps a ticket with Edwards on it. | The "Hillary factor" will play in whether she's the Presidential or Vice Presidential candidate. Many conservatives would like to stay home and not vote for McCain unless they can do so against Hillary. I personally believe an Obama-Edwards ticket is a slam dunk. I disagree with the notion that conservatives will only vote for McCain to stop Hillary. When they chips are down they will have to stop whining and vote for McCain no matter who wins the dem nomination. Letting Clinton and Obama battle it out for the next 6 months, with an end result that 50% of Dems didn't choose, achieves nothing. Edwards is history. | ||||||||||||||||||||||

| Obama is fading fast. Obama is fading fast. Today, Aug 21st 2008, Gary makes a brave prediction: If he doesn't pick Hillary as his VP Obama will lose in November. You heard it here first. | |||||||||||||||||||||
