Ron Paul Support Growing at DtT!
I am really stoked to see that support for Ron Paul is growing rapidly here at DtT. At this rate it looks like he'll be beating McCain within a few days. That's awesome!

Now we all need to try to get the word out about Ron Paul to the rest of the world and get others on board.
Fight the good fight, and die with the enemy's heart in your hand.

Ron paul seems on the surface to be a fine candidate, but I think you need to dig a little deeper to get to the truth. A lot of people overlook the fact that he does have some very backward ideas like wanting to leave it to the states to decide whether or not Abortion is legal. That would be severely damaging.

I can deal with him leaving it to the states to decide whether or not abortion is legal, even though I'm pro-choice. I think he has a lot of very good ideas, and is much more "in the middle" than the polarized candidates that we have now. I really wish the Libertarians had been able to pick him up as a candidate, instead of Bob "Can he really change his theocratic, 'author of DOMA' spots" Barr (that one still boggles my mind).

It feels like the country at this point is so hung up on the labels of "Republican" and "Democrat" that the ability to find the middle ground - the compromises that would benefit both sides and move this country forward instead of ripping it in half - is all but lost. I think Ron Paul is the closest to being able to find it.

That's hardly a reason to base your support on.
