Well, I see that we finally agree on something; Zack! I prefer CNN myself; but Lou Dobbs ( and his lackey Casey Wian) really needs to find something else to complain about.

Are all in the race were they suggested? I don't think the media wants Americans to
do any research on those candidates.
Only once in American history did a third party candidate win. It won't happen this year. Even if a third party candidate does win, he will not be able to get anything through Congress. I will vote for McCain only if there is a chance that he can win New York (not likely). He is not Conservative enough. I will then write in a vote for George Allen ( or some other Conservative).

The one third party candidate who won was Abraham Lincoln. The Republican Party was a third party and the Whig Party was self destructing.

Your facts are correct GMeyers; but McCain will never be able to shake his connection to Bush. He will never be able to win with this hanging over his head. There are too many currently unemployed to overlook this. And McCain's recent trips abroad to Columbia and soon to Mexico to promote free trade will anger working-class America with all the previous lost jobs due to them being outsourced abroad.
However, I think he can make a big splash- and at the same time score big points and change the current favoring Obama has- with one masterstroke move. Ask Hillary Clinton to be his Vice-President.

That is from the Democrat Playbook.

Unemployment is lower now than during much of the Clinton Administration. Go to
Where can I find the unemployment rate for previous years?

Free trade is good. outsourcing jobs is caused by excess regulation here in the U.S.

<P>It is; but it's true. One only needs to compare their voting records over the last few years to see that McCain is in fact; a Bush Lite. The Dems (Obama) will hammer that fact home.

But most of the jobs being lost now can be traced to Bush's failed economic and political policies. For example, airlines now having massive layoffs to keep up with rising fuel prices. That will be attached to our being involved- still- in Iraq.

Tell that to the unemployed in Michigan, Ohio, and Pennslyvania! I do agree that excessive regulation is one of the reasons that causes outsourcing; but the voting public will see it as America being sold out to the lowest bidder for its jobs.McCain picked a bad time to start talking about free trade.

I agree that this is pretty unlikely; I threw it in there as an idea for McCain to make inroads into the Democratic base of support. Have no illusion: Hillary still has her diehard supporters. Besides, he claims to be able to reach across the aisle; this would be the one move that would prove that he can.

Michigan, extremely liberal at the state level, is the perfect example of the failure of LIBERALISM!
