Some people don't even have a chance at an education in this country unless they join the military! The price for an education is insane.

Education or not people should be taken care of... their basic needs that is. Just look at our neighbors to the north. If they can do it, we certainly can too.
Why don't you ask them how happy they are with their system. There is a reason many of them come here to see physicians.

Furthermore everyone in this country has an opportunity. It may not be an equal one, but that's the nature of life. Some people will always have to work harder to get ahead, but the opportunity is there.

Rich people are always going to seek "the best". I just think if Canada can do it, we can do it 2 times better! And resolve the 30-40 million people who lack health care coverage.

I am not saying that we can not do things better, and I am not saying that there is nothing we can learn from other countries, I just think we need to make such decisions carefully.

Rich people are rich because they work so hard. Rich people most likely have to go to classes often for whatever field they are in, they must work hard to achieve customer satisfaction, etc...I bet these "rich people" put in twice as many hours as the average american.

I'm sure Trump worked day and night to get where he is today. Probably over 100+ hours a week. He may be rich, but I wouldn't ever work that hard for money.

Why do people always associate financial success with evil? That's not always true. Some rich people really do just work hard, save, and invest well... Hard to believe, but it's true.

And a lot of these "rich people" give back to the community. Not in the way that Michael Jackson would , but Bill Gates, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Oprah, Donald Trump, etc.

This might be a stupid question but...don't a lot of successful people that have careers get retirement plans/pensions through their work, negating the need for social security? People obviously still want to collect social security since they payed the taxes their whole life. Why then do we bother with social security in the first place? Because we don't know if we'll be successful, if we'll have a career where our retirement comes from work. This is why I say Social Security is flawed at its core and should not exist, or at least should exist in some other form or program.
But it don't take much to get me by
So just booze me up and get me high

We have social security because a lot of Americans do not know how to "save money".

So if the conservative argument is going to be along the lines of people not being able to help themselves, why are they against so many Social Aid programs?
