Guiliani and McCain would have problems winning the Republican nomination, they too moderate. Santorum would be my pick for the leading conservative. Especially when you consider that he is a Republican from Pennsylvania.

Conservatism, I repeat is not an ideology. It does not breed fanatics....But if you want men who seek, reasonably and prudently, to reconcile the best in wisdom of our ancestors with the change which is essential to a vigorous civil social existence, then you will do well to turn to conservative principles

You're absolutely right. The most conservative (or most liberal) candidate usually wins the nomination then adopts a more moderate stance for the actual election campaign. Someone like McCain is too moderate already to have a chance in winning the Republican primary.

McCcain has the best chance of winning if he can get the Rep nomination. Americans are sick of extremist and want a moderate. McCain ranks highly among Dems, moderates, and rep. He ranks lowly with GOP. Guiliani, if he gets the rep. nomination he will lose the election. He has too many skeletons in the closet. The bad thing for MCain is that he will have problems winning the rep nomination, because he can't rally the GOP base.

Recently, Hillary is being pushed to the middle. If she runs for it she will take it. She will easy win the Dem nomination. The media is making her out to be a moderate. Newt has said nice things about her lately. Pat Buchannan has said "she is the man to beat" If they can paint her as a moderate she will win the presidency, The republicans may not have enough power to convert the moderates.

I disagree with you. I am not the first to say this but I will repeat it, it's not that Hilary is not qualified for office it's just that I don’t believe America is ready to have a woman as president. Plus there is a lot of hatred out there for Hilary, even the new book “The Truth about Hilary” which I have read and has lead furthermore to my belief of not having Hilary as president.

She is much to corrupt for me and it’s not like it matters I only vote conservative. She used Bill to come into power and now she is playing the sympathetic rule to further advance her chances to get the presidency, I don't trust her for a minute.

We will see what is to happen; anyways I am going for Guiliani. I can't stand Hagel and he is from my own state. :

Guiliani and McCain are both very good men. And if we are going to analyse 'screw ups' we have to start at the top, with 'W'. George 'W' Bush is the single most dangerous president this country has ever had. He's a danger to the country and the world.

tadpole ... you sound like a good man but it appears we have a disagreement.
I just dont think that mcCain has been doing the right thing in the senate and if he doesnt do what i like in the senate, then im not going to like what he does as president.

As for Guiliani...
WEll.. he didnt do what any other mayor would have done (it goes without saying they would have to be a conservative)
And as for GWB, He has been a great president and this war has been the best thing.(when you said dangerous president, i assume you are refering to the war)

You have to be blind, deaf and dumb to think the war in Iraq is just or the best thing. It has hurt our country globally, economically, and decreased our saftey against terrorism.

Don't bother posting here if you are going to spout off propaganda without any thought put behind them.

The 'War on Terror' has done nothing but to spread terror around the world. George Bush is the worst terrorist the world has ever seen. All he has done with this administration is turn out to be the best weapon Osama bin Laden has in his arsenal.
