Defending the Truth

I get particularly upset when I see this stuff going on on FoxNews, too. People claim it's so conservative, but the same news gets on there. They all get their stories from the same source. Unfortunately, that source is usually AP, and AP is known for falsifying things in the Middle East, and puts out stories by unidentifiable people who don't work where they are said to work, and don't exist. Michelle Malkin is going to Iraq to track down one of their mysterious sources now. Did you hear about that?

...no, I didn't hear about the Malkin thing.

It is rather pathetic, though, that the mainstream media has made such a mockery of itself. They create news, they don't report it.

You haven't even heard of the FAUXtography scandal at Reuters??? Remember the episode in Lebanon during their war when they claimed there was such a massacre at Cana? All the doctored and deliberately staged photos taken and the same guy staging all of them? Called Canagate? Geez...check out Michellemalkin.com sometime and also, eureferendum.com which is one of my favorite blogs to read to get a feel of what's going on in Europe.

Understand, this is the kind of stuff that gets into the foreign papers and no one ever challenges these things. AP and Reuters are disgraced sources. It's no wonder newspapers are laying off thousands of people and going online. It's much cheaper and easier, especially when you have to take things back so frequently.

Oh yeah, I knew about the doctored pictures - the whole thing about the picture of an American soldier standing, smiling, with his boot on the "supposed" corpse of a Palestinian... I just didn't know about Michele Malkin going overseas to do her investigation.

And yes, our media has made a huge, corporate ass of itself.

Whew! I'm just glad he's not some radical born-again Christian! Really people, have we slid backwards so far under the current administration that we have no tolerance for anyone who is exactly like us (whatever "us" may be). Personally I don't care if the next president is Christian, Jewish, Buddist or Muslim as long as he isn't a raving nutcase like the one we have now. At least Mr. Obama appears to be intelligent - that alone would be a breath of fresh air.

I'm not quite sure what SAT scores have to do with anything but if it means anything to you, I didn't take them. Couldn't afford college and went straight to work. I always scored very high on standardized tests in school but never quite felt them to be a good judge of intelligence.

SAT's have nothing to do with anything...
it's just like getting a driver's license! Shoot, how many folk drive well that took the driver's test? Think about it, most, overwhelmingly most car accidents occur between licensed drivers, folks who took and passed the driver's test.
I mean, I did perfectly on parallel parking those years ago when I was tested, but do you think I can really parallel park? Sheer luck was all that was...
