Level up: 39%, 141 Points needed | | What Qualities in a President? I've heard it said, "Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it."
With that in mind, what sort of person are you looking for to be President? What character traits, skills, experiences, qualities, and so on, would be best for America? |

It beats the pics I have seen that put Bush and Saddam's face on women's bodies...

Points: 12,295, Level: 72 | Level up: 73%, 155 Points needed | | Political ideology aside, I think it's very simple; a president that can get the job done. I'm tired of people weighing the Presidency like they're voting for their next door neighbor. I really couldn't care less if the President is a Christian, Muslim, or an atheist. I couldn't care less about their personal lives. I don't care if he cheats on his wife. If the President gets the job done, then so be it if he/she is uglier than Mikhail Gorbachev.
Sure, to people their personal religious beliefs are important. And sure I think I know who I would want to have over at a BBQ. But we've tried that already, and time after time it gives us the worst politicians imaginable.
Hell, JFK was a playboy, but he was sure as hell one of our country's best presidents. A pool of evidence suggests that, Abe Lincoln, perhaps our very best, was gay.

I mean, I'm sure you WANT to believe that Lincoln was gay, but it sure is interesting how it's just "coming out" now, isn't it? |

It's not surprising that such a thing was heavily covered up during that time period. It also makes sense that his wife went insane LOL.
Actually, there are many letters from him and his "secretary" about their life together - including "sharing" hotel beds. For many years this was construed as being a "frugal" exercise for the president. Well. LOL If the president didn't want to share his bed with another man in a hotel, LOL, he wouldn't have had to. He wasn't a millionaire - but he also was not one of Fagin's boys LOL> |

But, the evidence comes from historians. Sure the gay community would have a field day with it, but it's serious. I saw it first on the History Channel, then I believe I saw it in US News & World Report.
