This Bill Keller sounds like a real nut case.

He sounds along the lines of Sharpton that said that a Mormon would never make it in office or something along those lines. He said it last month and I was too sick and tired of hearing that crap I didnt pay much attention to what he says anymore.

Some times when people say "we have to do something" we do the wrong thing. This does not make President Reagan a traitor, only ill-advised. Colonel Oliver North was only guilty of assisting in the effort of helping our Ally. BTW Oliver North's TV show is on Fox News Channel, not CNN. It was unconscionable of the Congress to abandon our Ally.

1) There is no lying in the top statement. 2) I believe in the rule of law. In the top statement I said that what President Reagan and Colonel North did was not right. What more do I need to say? They did what they believed at the time to be the best thing to do to opose Communism. I and they are not traitors.

Let's look up "Fascism" in the Merriam-Webster online dictionary.
1) often capitalized: a political philosophy, movement, or regeme (as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and ofter race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimetation, and forcible suppression of opposition.
2) a tendency toward or actual exercise of strong autocratic or dictatorial control
<early instances of army fascism and brutality- J.W. Aldridge>

No one who reads my posts and honestly interprets them will conclude that I am in any way a fascist.

I am not in any way suggesting that the President of the United States should be able to be above the law.

Forcible suppression of opposition? That sounds a lot like the Democrats to me.

And I will be the first to agree that your posts (At least the ones I read) do not resemble anything a fascist would say. The whole Iran-Contra affair is extremely shady, but Reagan is far from being a traitor in any sense of the word. Billy thinks there are fascists under every rock.

Now this little bit caught my eye, who exactly in the Democratic Party is trying to suppress opposing speech?

gmeyers - I see you are back pedaling now. Breaking the law and committing murder are not good things for a President of the U.S.A. to do. Like I said, Republicans admire traitors to the U.S.A. George Bush outted a C.I.A. agent during a time of war. This is also treason. I guess you love George Bush too. You just got cought being wrong and lying so you are in the very typical Republican cover up mode.

Sounds much more like the current Administration to me.

I am not back pedaling. I never endorsed murder. No Republicans I know of endorse murder or are traitors. Valerie Plame was not a covert CIA agent. Even if she were, It was Richard Armitage who outed her, not George W. Bush or Scooter Libby. Talking about Scooter Libby, he is the flirst person convicted of perjury with no underlying crime. I agree with George W. Bush a lot of the time, like tax cuts, Iraq war, and others. I disagree with him on amnisty for illegal aliens. No, I did not lie and if I am not wrong (I don't think I am), it is not intentional. I refuse to "COVER UP" for anyone, period.

No Republicans I know are traitors. If you want to see traitors, then look at Danny Glover (it's too bad, I have enjoyed his movies) and others who have kissed up to the likes of Hugo Chavez.

Mitt Romney doesn't know porn, but he knows what he likes. And he doesn't like a children's book called King & King.

Last Friday, he was telling the National Right to Life Convention about his deep and recent feelings on abortion -- lately he's against it -- and he kind of drifted off subject:

"And parents of a child in second grade were told that their son is required to listen to the reading of a book called The King and the King (sic) about a prince who marries another prince. The school's rationale was since same sex marriage was legal, the education system should advance the idea... I immediately drafted and introduced legislation to grant religious liberty protection, but the legislature wouldn't even take it up."
I know that doesn't sound like it has anything to do with the high purpose of the Right to Life Convention -- punishing sluts -- but you can see Romney thinking it's the kind of thing they'd like to hear.

Mitt Romney: You'll come for the pandering. But you'll stay for the gay bashing.

Now, for all I know, Massachusetts is knee-deep in abortions -- I try to avoid it, by flying into Providence instead -- but it's unlikely that the women having them are grade-school lesbians.

It's an applause getter, but it isn't logical. Almost makes you wonder what other kinds of crazy things he believes.

--

There are vague grumblings on the right-wing web sites about another Mitt Romney values issue. This one involves his ten years as a board member at Marriott, and how they seem to have made millions of dollars off in-room porn. Millions and millions. And millions.

According to an article I just cut and pasted from somewhere, pay-per-view sex in American hotel rooms may generate $190 million a year. (Especially when Charlie Sheen is single.) About 1.5 million hotel rooms are wired for adult films and they make more money than the minibar, which is hard to believe, because I had a Toblerone at the Boston Ritz in 1990 and I'm still paying for it.

According to another article I'm lazily plagiarizing, Mitt Romney sat on the Marriott Board from 1993 to 2002, may or may not still own Marriott stock, and reported an $80,000 campaign donation arranged by J.W. Marriott last April.

Personally, I don't care what hotels do. (I just wish they'd make a little shampoo bottle with a top I could open when I'm in the shower and my hands are wet. How hard is that? And did I mention the Toblerone?) But -- again, according to right wing anti-porn wackos, so sue them and not me -- Marriott has provided its guests with entertainment including:

Bad Wives 2

Bi Bi American Pie
Dark Meat Sandwich
Hustler's All Girl Slumber Party
Kinky Kouples Sex Games
Maximum Ram

Nasty Office Nymphs

Naughty Neighbors

Naughty Collegiate Schoolgirls
Newlywed Infidelities

Quick n' Nasty - Petite Poundings
Risque Biz & Bad Habits
Spring Break Pantyhoes

Ten Xtreme - Interracial Facials
Three Women & a Resort

Women in Uniform Special

Young As They Come

And they've taken that money, and given it to Mitt Romney, so he can bitch about King & King.

--

You know what's great about Google? You get scared that you've opened yourself up to a lawsuit from the Marriott Corporation, so you retype a porn title you've copied, but you get it wrong, and Google replies:

Did you mean: interracial facials

Mitt Romney's right. That's what schools should be teaching, instead of that King & King nonsense. "Interracial" has two r's.

And now I have to change internet providers, and take my MacBook, and burn it in the backyard.
