Because in America that usually leads to corporations acting in immoral ways where the bottom line is more important than how you got there.
Instead of banning monopolies, we should ban immoral practices then. Small businesses commit fraud and use sweatshops too.

Yeah but the DEMS&REPS are not producing any quality products!
And haven't been for a long time. With the current system we will
never know if any third (4th or 5th) party is better because of the
REP-DEM Monopoly!

REPS&DEMS "KNOW"!!!! that they are the only game in town!! And
you have to pick between those two parties! And they have the power
to squash out any competition!!!

If 90% of the people vote for "candidate X" when they had a choice of
of 10-20 different truly elect-able candidate then that would be fine for
"candidate X" to have all the business BUT That's not a monopoly!!!!!
If there are only two candidates that can get elected then that's a
monopoly!

Oh I can see that. It's just he did one of those weird transitional things where some one says "Hey look at that nice red shirt!" and some ad guy comes on and is like "Speaking of Red, have I told you about Redman Chewing Tobacco!?!?!" You know...something like that.
I can see what he was trying to do I just don't think it makes any sense.

Haha...it's not like he has a bad argument about the two party thing, I just thought it had no relevance to what the other posts were about. I mean, originally yes it is the same topic but I think it had gone off topic by the time he said it. Like, hey! Monopolies? Speaking of monopolies...

OK I can see the gap, but it just that I've been pointing out the same
issue so many times that I assume it's crystal clear. But the monopoly
tangent was to point out the difference between (For example) a good
Company selling an unbeatable product and 2-companies fixing the
markets with bad products, and on top of that being able to stop any
competitors from entering the market!
