IT IS NOT VITAMINS! No doubt about that. But it is less harmful than the drugs currently allowed. And could make this country a HUGE amount of money if legalized. | Focus We are very close to adding mood alterization to the list of proven reasons to predict medical marijuana. There are some disorders, ADHD, just for example, that are positively effect by perscribed marijuana. The percentage of our population, who actually self medicate with pot, without a perscription, for mood disorders, is alot higher than is commonly believed. In these cases there is an improvement in focus and brain activity. It is impossible to convince someone with no everyday experience with potheads, that millions of professional people are undercover pot smokers. They stay undercover because the government has made it there lucrative business of taking peoples home over an ounce of weed. It is quite clear that some opinions on the use of marijuana are derivered from the brainwashing of our anti-drug society. It is also quite clear who has researched the subject and who hasn't. Politics, it seems to me, for years, or all too long, has been concerned with right or left instead of right or wrong. ~Richard Armour There are many men of principle in both parties in America, but there is no party of principle. ~Alexis de Tocqueville | |||||||||||||||||||||

| Pot really is one of the most innocuous substances that exist. In my state the law is extremely lenient; you may recall our last governor Gary Johnson got some national attention on this issue. Marijuana is almost the opposite of alcohol in several respects: two I can think of right offhand are driving (makes you much more cautious) and also fighting (people's urge to fight with each other decreases). The only problem with pot IS that gateway thing and I agree with the poster who wrote earlier that this would be solved if it were legalized, because it only leads to more dangerous drugs - as he said - because kids think they have been lied to about the others as they were about pot. | |||||||||||||||||||||
