He needs to LIVE what he PREACHES. Until he begins doing that, he's a HYPOCRITE.

Now... why not think up another pithy little phrase that isn't so easily smashed into the ground.
You're right that there is nothing wrong with either Gore or Sheehan's message. But attacking the messenger only belittles the valuable messages.

Gore absolutely needed to get the word out to educate more people about the contents of this film. That required traveling coast to coast in an airplane. Get over it, everyone does it. Until we have an alternative way of doing this you have nothing to whine about. Unless you want to join the ranks of cry baby.

There is little doubt that the world in general is more liberal than it was 50 years ago and beyond. Conservatives are simply roadblocks on the path to an ever more progressive and liberal world. What a sad existence.

No, "getting the word out" did NOT require Gore to fly all over the country. Why not just use TV, radio, blogs, internet, and other forms of media? Oh that's right, it's because it wouldn't be as "cool" or keep Al Gore in the spotlight.

It is an absolute lie to say that Gore "had to" fly all over the country to get the word out. And by the way... why didn't he just take public transporation?

He did it because it works and is very effective.
The MF should have just taken public transportation to Cannes
And you talk about cry babies. Jesus christ.

Al Gore Promotes Warming Movie in Cannes

by: The Associated Press 22 May 2006
Gore, With Global Warming Movie in Cannes, Says U.S. Citizens Are Ahead of Politicians on Issue

PARIS - The United States is emerging from a "bubble of unreality" about the problem of global warming, former Vice President Al Gore said Saturday at the Cannes Film Festival.

Gore was in Cannes to promote the documentary "An Inconvenient Truth," which chronicles his efforts to bring the dangers of climate change to greater attention.

"I think that up until fairly recently the United States has been in a bubble of unreality where global warming is concerned," he said, speaking before the Cannes premiere of the film, which debuted at last winter's Sundance Film Festival and opens in U.S. theaters Wednesday.

Gore said he believed Americans were ahead of U.S. politicians in their thinking about the issue.

"I even believe there is a chance that within the next two years, even (President) Bush and (Vice President) Dick Cheney will be forced to change their position on this crisis," he said. "One can only attempt to create one's own reality for so long. Reality proper has a way of insisting itself upon you."

There was no need for Gore to go to Cannes. That was just ego-stroking and celebrity butt-kissing.

Bottom Line: 65,000 GALLONS OF JET FUEL BURNED AND THE EMISSIONS BLOWN INTO THE AIR BY A MAN WHO CLAIMS TO BE CONCERNED ABOUT THE ENVIRONMENT.

1+1=2
Gore + 65,000 gallons of jet fuel = hypocritical BS.

People travel all the time to promote movies. Few sucessful movies do not have people travelling to promote them. Cry all you want, it is standard procedure to get out the word. In this case the movie contains a very important message. The more people that hear about it via Gore flying around the better.

Nascar uses an estimated 2 million US gallons of fuel per season. Go whine somewhere else.

The U.S. military consumed 144.8 million barrels of fuel in 2004, spending $6.7 billion, according to the Defense Energy Support Center (DESC).

Last year, it consumed only 128.3 million barrels, but spent $8.8 billion, as the average price per barrel rose by almost 50 percent to more than $68.

For 2006, DESC estimates the military will need 130.6 million barrels and pay more than $10 billion for it, at a price of more than $77 per barrel.

NASCAR doesn't claim to be the Savior of the Environment.

Pull you head out of your butt. Al Gore epitomizes the reason why most people simply DO NOT take environmentalists seriously. Perhaps you should think and learn, rather than just cry and whine about it.

Barbra Streisand once said we should all hang our clothes on outside liines instead of using electric dryers. Then she lives in a mansion and drives gas guzzlers. What I am saying is "HYPOCRITE".

Al Gore does not claim to be the savior of the environment. He was only trying to help spread the very word on a very important topic. People like you only get in the way of the message by attacking the man, thereby tainting the message. It is disgusting.

The man deserves to be attacked for his hypocrisy. And let me say, that peopole like you only get in the way of the message by attacking the man (Bush), thereby tainting the message and it is quite disgusting. If you can't take it, then don't dish it out.
