Oh crap. Alias pointed out a spelling mistake.

If we all stop burning fossil fuels...doesn't mean those caps are not going to melt. At how much of a slower rate will those caps melt with us not burning fossil fuels?
Even if we are only able to slow down this meltage by 10 or 20 years it will give us more time to prepare the coastal areas that are going to be underwater with the rising water levels. Just for instance, Manhattan Island could really use this extra time. Why would we just ignore it if we can have an effect? That's like letting a forrest fire burn because it is not threatening homes yet.

I just watched that video Nebraskaboy pointed out and they claimed that in the 70's people were complaining about global cooling; and now they are complaining about global warming...

The problem with the current science on global warming is that predictions are based upon models. The recent trends that have occurred are observed, and the data is then applied to what may occur in the future. THis is exactly what led to the mistaken believe that by the year 2010 the earth would be encountering a new ice age.

It would seem that time and again the earth actually surprises scientists by being able to adapt to certain conditions and make necessary changes. History must be studied so that we do not make the mistakes of the past, however, it would seem that the history of the 1970's and 1980's is being ignored. They rushed to judgement then what is to say they are not rushing to judgment now???

Conservatism, I repeat is not an ideology. It does not breed fanatics....But if you want men who seek, reasonably and prudently, to reconcile the best in wisdom of our ancestors with the change which is essential to a vigorous civil social existence, then you will do well to turn to conservative principles

And I should believe your critique on the climate over the nation's top climate scientists why?

They make a living out of studying and understanding the climate and earth's behaviors. The vast majority say global warming is a non-debatable point, its proven, and that humans are the main cause. And they say that on our current coarse we're headed for drastic global climate change. As scientists they have no other intention than to inform and to contribute to human knowlege. They have no motive to be "alarmist" for no damn reason.

I would recommend that you check out those links I provided.

Time and time again scientists have been proven wrong.

There are also many scientists who believe that global warming is completely false.

No, I never said that. I just believe in the law. And the law says innocent until proven guilty. I just help debunk the official myth. Of coarse its always necessary to develope a hypothesis. I don't deny that possibility. I don't deny the possibility of Al-Qaeda doing it either.
