I described three primary factors that appear to drive Earth's average surface temperature. So then, what is the only factor left that might be causing Earth's current warming?

(Thirty years ago-or so-scientists were describing the current interglacial period that Earth is in and they were projecting a possible future for Earth...based on the data that they were looking at. But, clearly, the data has changed...thus changing future predictions. Such is the changeable nature of science...unlike theology, in general.)
Exactly. Sciences changes to fit the mood of the day, and the need for a new craze.

Ummm...no.

Science changes based on the data that is found.

Too bad your computer, a result of science, doesn't change to fit the mood of your day, aye Jefferson?

(I find it interesting that you had absolutely nothing to say concerning the rest of my last reply.)

Global Warming is the current religion of the Elitist Left. Of that there is no question.

We are in a Global Warming cycle that is not as drastic as the one 1,000 years ago. Do you suppose that that fact is due to human involvement?

And why do you keep ignoring the questions asked of you, while continuing to ask the same questions that have already been answered multiple times?

So, now we are in a "cycle" instead of a "trend?"

Ok then, let's call it a cycle if you like.

So then, what's causing this cycle?

After all, the "cause" of global warming is what you are apparently disagreeing with, rather than the observation that the Earth's surface and atmosphere is warming (or going through a "cycle" if you prefer).

I think that Man's industrial period increase in CO2 in Earth's atmosphere is causing the current warmer temperature more so than any other known forcing factor...based on the data I've seen.

The current warming "trend" or "cycle" or whatever you like to call the Earth's average surface temperature data over a period of time, is caused, without any possible doubt, by something.

What is that "something?"

(In other words, no matter what is measured, there is always a reason as to why it has a certain measurement. So, why is the Earth temperature-a measurement-warming?)

I don't know what causes MACRO global warming or cooling - any more than the self-acclaimed experts do.

What caused the Global Warming from 1000-1300?

What makes you think this global warming trend is any different - in cause - than that one?

Well, one possible cause of the warming during that period is an increase in solar activity...something which has been indirectly measured and, as a result, somewhat verified through radiocarbon dating methods.

But it is debated if the Earth actually witnessed "global" warming during that period.

And we have recent solar activity data that suggests that the solar activity of the sun in the past 50 years or so doesn't completely account for the warming trend we are currently experiencing.

The sun, of course, does play a role.

But, if we are seeing higher temperatures-or a rate of change in higher temperatures-that doesn't appear to to be fully dependent on the change in solar activity, then something else has to be causing this current warming trend besides a change in solar activity.

Then your hero Al Gore danged well better start petitioning Congress to make the sun ILLEGAL!

DANGED SUN!

That had to be the dumbest thing I've ever heard. It is not the sun,it is human activity.
