Ignorance is alive and well. The case revolves around a woman that was "Raped" and a "Victim". A judge who barred words such as "rape" and "victim" from a sexual assault (raping a victim) trial.

"The accuser in the criminal case, Tory Bowen, sued Lancaster District Judge Jeffre Cheuvront, claiming that he violated her free speech rights". Wait she was raped and she was a victim and she cannot use these terms to describe what has happened to her?

She is a "victim" of "rape" and the judge would not allow these words to be used in the trial. So her attorneys sue the judge.

I might add that if the judge was so
Certain judges consider themselve immune in offensive rulings, comments and exparte communications when they make poor decisions on the bench. They are not immune. This woman's attorney used the system we are supposed to be (guaranteed) a system of checks and balances of the judicial system. These suits are the remedies that are available to take the judge to task on his obviously bias rulings.

Many times victims are given little consideration in courts that are supposed to be serving justice.

The next judge uses a little a bit of judicial extortion to dissuade further pursuit of justice by this victim.
"U.S. District Judge Richard Kopf, in an order last week, expressed doubts about whether Bowen's lawsuit "has any legal basis whatsoever" and said sanctions may be imposed against Bowen and her attorneys if they fail to show cause for the lawsuit."
And I might add if the judge was so worried about the Phrase, "victim" and "rape" then these words should be removed from all law books and case files. If in fact judges are tired of hearing "rape" cases or if it has insulted him in any manner then he should recuse himself. These judges statements show clear bias against the rape victim.
