Nations appear to "change sides" quite often in the Middle East.
And in the west too. Every nation will pursue what it perceives to be its own national interests in the final analysis.

I'm not trying to defend the Iranian pov or even to present it.

But if we won't listen to them why should they listen to us?

Hey, at one time the U.S. was friendly to bin laden.
As the song says, it was a love T.K.O.

I would go to this guy's speech just so I could call him a big doo-doo head.

Did you hear Ahmadinejad said today that there are no homosexuals in Iran and that women are revered and respected by everyone?

Iran sounds more like Wyoming all the time!

What drugs are that guy on?
One pill makes you larger and one pill makes you small,
And the ones that mother gives you don't do anything at all.

He's not on drugs, Akuma. He's being a puppet of the supreme leader of Iran. Like if Khomeini was still alive, he would use the current leader of Iran as his puppet.

He is on the drug of denial and merely another raving fanatical leader. It was good to let him speak in the U.S. to prove this. I doubt he has experienced this type of forum before and I hope he felt some discomfort while listening to views that challenge his.

I think Bush should return the favour by addressing the students at the University of Teheran followed by a Q&A session
