I'm not following his speech well - it seems disjointed.

I missed the Columbia president's opening speech.

But you know, I think that the Iranian citizens themselves don't hate Americans like you and me. They hate the government. You agree with that?

so if a person travels to our country from a country where murder is allowed, can we then murder them on our soil? do our policies change from person to person then? that seems messy.

Legally, of course we can't. Those who do may wind up in prison. Politically, what a jury think?

So you personally wouldn't mind if citizens from other countries could be murdered here. Like the one guy's doctor or his car salesman.

You think I would not mind seeing a person from another country murdered here? Why do you think that most of them came to the USA? To escape oppression or to be terrorists?

Believe it or not, I think the average Iranian today doesn't hate Americans.

(A good portion of Iran's population today wasn't alive during the Shah's reign nor during the early days of the revolution.)

Many Iranians today may not like the US government's policies.

But, many Iranians yearn for a day when they can live their daily lives much more like Americans...albeit in their own country.

And I think it is accurate to say that they hate the Iranian regime and government...which is a good reason why the West aught to support any activity in Iran that attempts to overthrow the regime and the redesign of the Iranian government.

Nah, I'll just stick with just limiting Ahmadinejads platform to speak to just the UN.
