Oh, I seriously don't buy that.

Some kid who steals a car to go joy riding is mentally ill?

If that is the case, then the term 'mental illness' is WAY overused in today's society.

There is extreme irony that he stalks people who ignore him, and then claims a victory when they ignore him.
Probably because that's the only delusional semblance of a victory he can muster in his pathetic existence...
Your usual arrogant bloviation which avoids answering my point.

So let me repeat it for you here:

How ironic that you always dismiss this argument when we point out that We The People of Massachusetts should decide whether they want homosexual marriage in that state!

In that case you seemed determined to let the Judges' decision take precedence over the will of the people.

Just as you pursue your bigoted objective of making homosexuals more equal than others when they are the victims of a crime.

Looks like your rampant hypocrisy has been exposed yet again.

So which crimes do NOT cause fear and intimidation to others?

Did the VA Tech killer cause fear and intimidation to students everywhere?

If a criminal assaults, robs or murders someone selected at random, should he be exempt from prosecution for a hate crime and be given a lesser sentence?

The whole problem with hate crime legislation is not only who is Included but who is EXcluded

Okay, saying "ALL" in my previous argument was a boner.

I would say much crime and most violent crime has roots in some sort of mental illness.

I don't think all crime is driven by mental illness either. Maybe all hate crime is though.

Really. Most people who shoplift are probably not mentally ill (for example).

I think you are confusing mental illness with psychological problems.

Check this link out:

NAMI | About Mental Illness

Now, my sister has a mental illness, bi-polar disorder. This illness is just like any other illness, and is corrected with medication. Psychological problems are different and are handled by seeing a therapist.

Well, tell you what?

When over 40, white men that live in rural areas are targeted especially because of what they are, then you have an argument.
