You know what I have seen? I have seen how Christians of all the religions have the most attitude about getting religion out there in the public...

And when trying to do that, it becomes impotent. Like thinking that having a prayer so generic as "God, blah blah blah...amen" is some kind of prayer at all.

Or how at some school a few years back, they were not suppose to pray or invoke the name God at a graduation, so the Christians all sneezed on purpose, and then said, "God bless you" in unison. Wow, that was tauted as some great victory!

It turned the title "God"into such small potato political sillies, imho.

I would have thought that real praying, real praying as a Christian means praying to God as Father and praying in the name of Jesus.

And I thought that Matthew 6:5-6 made a point: "And now about prayer. When you pray, don't be like the hypocrites who love to pray publicly on street corners and in the synagogues where everyone can see them. I assure you, that is all the reward they will ever get. But when you pray, go away by yourself, shut the door behind you, and pray to your Father secretly. Then your Father, who knows all secrets, will reward you.

Also it says in the Bible that there is a people that draw near with their mouths, but their hearts are far away from God.

So I would consider that even God wants a little modesty from his people and wants hearts that seek after him, not some political gain, that shortens his value to some generic prayer and a load of sneezing being faked to say God bless you.

How about You bless God and do it the Matthew 6 way...imho.

We know that doesn't apply to Britain though. Pretty soon you're going to have more Pakistanis and Africans than there are Brits in the UK.

I mean, for cripe's sake, man, you're the President... and you can't do any better than that in a mistress? Don't you realize you're representing our country in everything you do?

J.F.K. nailed Marilyn Monroe... and having a First Mistress like that is the sort of thing that makes me proud to be an American!
Monica Lewinsky was pretty hot when she had the fling with Clinton. She only got fat afterwards.

Thank you! I was trying to find a way to say that very thing. I do not want my taxes funding ANY religion in ANY way. Making that the case in no way infringes on the rights of people to worship as they choose. I am far from atheistic, but I'm not a Christian or a Jew, so why should I be paying rent on a public building housing a monument to the 10 Comandments? That is a huge affront to my freedom of religion and so is being expected listen to a Christian prayer at a graduation from a public school. I don't see Buddhas and yin & yan plastered all over courthouses and in schools (nor would I want to).

Well we need them for future England cricket teams!

But it's a lot more difficult for a US citizen to emigrate to Britain or any EU country (and most others!).

How is it an "affront" to your freedom of religion? You are still free to practice any religion you want, or none at all.

The fact is your taxes can be spent on all kinds of things you don't happen to agree with. Including funding political campaigns for candidates you passionately disagree with, wars you don't support, and subsidies for farmers to grow food you won't eat.

Conversely, you gain benefit from taxes paid by people who don't know you and, given the choice, wouldn't want to subsidise your life.

I wonder how would he feel if he knew every federal dollar he paid in taxes last year went straight into my checking account? I bet that would piss him off.

Dude, give me a break... Lewinsky would have been "okay" as the mistress for an average Joe when she and Clinton shared a cigar... so to speak. But the leader of the Free World?

Man, if I were President and I were going to step out on the First Lady, I wouldn't settle for "okay" -- I'd have a threesome on the desk in the Oval Office with Jennifer Connley and Hallie Berry while Gwen Steffani took pictures and Bjork provided the music.

Dude, when you have a fantasy, you really have a fantasy. Hell, my requirements are simple. I'd be happy with chubby ass Kelly Clarkson. Even the new and improved even chubbier one she is today.

I wonder who among you fantaspeakers here would mind if the gay members were to share their fantasies as blatantly, tastelessly and pure-dy tacky as y'all have done!

Why not save the public threads for real discussion and share your "boys will be boys" noise in private messages?
