I agree with you dante. He's odious...and I hate that they let him back on the air.

However, I have to agree with the detective as well - Sharpton is one serious media whore.

Don Imus is a dick. I wouldn't listen to his show. I just hate when corporations give in to "public pressure" when the "public" is nothing more than those people who wouldn't ever listen to Don Imus in the first place.

You hear a lot worse on some of the black radio stations, and I'm talking about from the DJ's. I wish rappers would do nothing more than call women "nappy headed ho's". Sharpton pays lip service to getting after rap, but thats just to limit his exposure to hypocrisy and double standard claims.

I can't figure out why women, black women in particular, don't rise up and squelch the more hardcore rap. I don't want the government to do it, but rappers get a free pass to say things we would not tolerate from anyone else.

I love when the music companies make it into a free speech issue. Bullshit. Its all about the money.

We bitch about how we are perceived by other races when the most prevalent image of blacks directed towards young Americans is that of the black gangster rapper.

I like some rap, but I'll stick to jazz, r and b, blues and classical.

This is just more of the frackng same. Soemthing you don't like blame someone. The policies of Clinton were not liked so Conservatives blamed Liberals, the policies of Bush are not like so blame Conservatives. But regardless the blame always falls on the Jews. They control the media, the movies, entertainment, and of course movies. Hey all you anti-semites out there, here is a novel fucking idea, put your fracking money where your mouth is, and support something, oh that is right it is the Jews who pick up that penny on the street while you walk by and ignore it. No freaking wonder your asses are poor.

Conservatism, I repeat is not an ideology. It does not breed fanatics....But if you want men who seek, reasonably and prudently, to reconcile the best in wisdom of our ancestors with the change which is essential to a vigorous civil social existence, then you will do well to turn to conservative principles

Well if you don't count Rupert Murdoch and Ted Turner, at the very least those two aren't Jewish.

If people don't like gangsta rap or hardcore rap, then they shouldn't listen to it. But you can't say it shouldn't be allowed to be aired. And whether or not you like it, it is an expression of what the person sees in their world. That is a protected right. You always have the right to change the dial. And I don't like Imus, so I don't listen to him. I never would have heard him call anyone names, until the media repeatedly played it. People need to utilise their own choices, but stop trying to froce your choiuces on everyone else. If you don't like it, don't listen to it or buy it or change the dial. That is the best way to deal with the problem. If enough people don't like it and they find it to be offensive, it will naturally die over time.

I have never listened to Imus. I couldn't care less. But he should not have been fired for that exchange. He was doing what he was being paid to do which is why he is back on the air.

have you seen those butch looking basketball playing women....NHH was an honest assessment.

He called them "hoes" which is a totally different word in the context he used it.
"Dem hoes is ugly" is a different statement than "you ho".

Both are offensive to women, period. And fx knows that. It seems to be his aim, to be offensive toward women.

so, now we're using poor pronunciation as an excuse for misogyny and bigotry?
